January’s third Sunday was highlighted by The Spartan Poker‘s 1 Crore GTD Millionaire III. The last Millionaire tournament of the Triple Delight Series featuring INR 5,500 buy-in attracted a massive field of 2,144 entries via six qualifying flights, crushing its specified GTD and generating INR 1,07,20,000 prize pool. Only 327 stacks, representing 204 unique players, made it to the Day 2 finale starting at 10 PM on Sunday night. Following six hours of battle, Sashank ‘TheTamizhDurrr’ Chakravarthy stole the show, taking down the coveted title for a career-best worth INR 16 Lakhs.

The landmark victory marked Chakravarthy’s first seven-figure score and an impressive fifth online title of the year. Prior to the win this month, the online MTT crusher had clinched Destiny, The Endeavour, BSS Kickoff, and the (7-Max) Daily SPRINT victories, all coming within the first ten days of January. To claim his latest victory, Chakravarthy defeated Kanav ‘slickooo’ Parwal in the heads-up battle. The latter pocketed an impressive seven-figure of INR 12,29,323, following the heads-up deal.

Sunday was truly a memorable day for Chakravarthy as he also posted deep finishes across two more tournaments, 27th in Adda52 Millions for INR 25,440 and 197th in Poker Baazi’s (1000X) BSS Super Stack for INR 9,214, solidifying his position as a dominating force in India’s online poker circle.

The Millionaire III’s final table was a star-studded affair featuring seasoned pros like Saransh ‘TerrorGandhi$’ Garg (3rd for INR 6.94 Lakhs), Sagar ‘JugaduNash’ Raj (4th for INR 5.01 Lakhs), Arjanveer ‘bazzingaa’ Singh Chadha (7th for INR 2.52 Lakhs), and Ritwik ‘Fisherman1997’ Khanna (8th for INR 1.78 Lakhs).
