The U Series of Poker is set to return to Hanoi, Vietnam, with a staggering prize pool of VND 60 billion (~USD 2.36 Million). This marks the second time the brand has offered such a lucrative guarantee, following the success of its recent USOP Danang series, which paid out over USD 9.2 million in prizes.

The U Series of Poker, which was launched in February 2023, is constantly breaking records at various regions, making it one of the biggest poker festivals in the Asian continent.

In collaboration with Crown Poker Club, the series is scheduled for May 29 to June 10, 2024. It features a lineup of 65 trophy events to cater to players of all levels along with a range of satellite tournaments for those seeking low buy-ins.

Let’s take a look into the USOP Hanoi festival and what poker enthusiasts can expect from it.

USOP Hanoi Highlights

The festival features several events with low buy-ins to high buy-ins. The notable events of the festival are the “Phased Events,” which are multi-day events with multiple starting flights to enter. The Phased Events are kickoff, Mystery Million, Mini Main Event, and Megastack event.

High Roller events continue to be in high demand at every USOP festival. In the recent USOP Danang Part 1, the High Roller Series awarded over USD 4.5 million, which was half of the total festival prize pool. Looking ahead to the USOP Hanoi, there are 11 high-roller events scheduled, guaranteeing a total of VND 2.58 billion (~USD 1.12 Million). Buy-ins for these events range from VND 44 billion (~USD 1,735) to VND 250 billion (~USD 9,860)

Furthermore, players can go for the High Roller Early Bird Package, which includes accommodation at the Pullman Hanoi Hotel. It’s on a first-come, first-served basis, so Book now otherwise, you might miss a luxurious chance.

USOP Hanoi Main Event

The main event is always the highlight of every festival, and at USOP Hanoi, it has a prize pool of VND 15 billion (~USD 591,450), which is expected to be surpassed considering the turnout in the previous edition.

In September 2023, USOP created history by becoming the first poker brand to pay over a million USD in Hanoi. It showcases the popularity of USOP, and the main event prize pool is likely to be increased.

The USOP Main Event is set to run from June 6 to June 10, 2024. The event has a buy-in of VND 30 million (~USD 1,261) and a guaranteed prize pool of VND 15 billion (~USD 591,450). The main event has 4 starting flights, giving players ample opportunities to win the prize pool. Players can participate in any of the three Main Event Satellite events to get into the Main Event.

Main Event Schedule:

Day 1A: Thursday, June 6, 2024

Day 1B: Friday, June 7, 2024

Day 1C: Saturday, June 8, 2024

Day 1D (Turbo): Saturday, June 8 2024

Day 2: Sunday, June 9, 2024

Final Day: Monday, June 10, 2024

The USOP Main Event crowned champions in Edwin Dela Cruz, Nguyen Ngoc Dai, Vishal Ojha, The Naing, Sam Hung, and Ian Lee. Lee claimed  the biggest paycheck in USOP history of VND 7.12 Billion (~USD 287,000) in Danang last month.

Like the High Roller Package, players can avail of the Main Event Early Bird Package, which includes three types of hotel accommodation deals at the Pullman Hanoi: Basic, Premium, and Custom. It’s best for those who don’t want to think about other things and want to give their attention to the game.
