If you follow poker, then you must have heard of Bryn Kenney. Currently sitting at the number one position in the Hendon Mob’s All-Time Money List with a staggering live cash of $65 million, he is one of the world’s top poker players.  

Kenney is known for many things like his famous heads-up battle with the “Kid Poker” Daniel Negreanu, when Negreanu’s pairs of three were able to beat Kenney’s pocket aces, or his biggest live cash win of $20 Million. Kenney is one of the few players, who has come to the top in the poker world by just playing poker. In this article, we are going to talk about Bryn Kenney’s earlier life, poker career, his net worth, and some allegations against him. 

Bryn Kenney’s early life 

Bryn Kenney was born on November 1, 1986, in Long Beach, New York. He was the eldest sibling of the five children and was very responsible towards his family. Kenney was very different from his childhood, unlike other children of his age.

No one in his family was playing poker or was interested in it. They used to play the card game Magic: The Gathering. His enthusiasm for card games was on another level, and this is how he discovered Poker. It was a game that was strategic and competitive. 

Bryn Kenney’s entry into poker

Bryn Kenney’s poker career started when he was just 17 years old. Kenney used to play online poker under his mom’s name. His day would start by seeing the online poker platform on his computer screen and eating unhealthy foods. 

He was so much into poker that his mom considered him a gambler. But Kenney was able to clear his family’s doubt by inviting them to a poker tournament and explaining to them every bit of detail about the game. Kenney also has a really good photographic memory, and this helped him a lot in winning poker tournaments. His passion for poker was so high that he left high school to pursue a full-time career in Poker. 

Bryn Kenney’s poker career and live cashes

According to the Hendon Mob, Kenney played his first live tournament in 2007. He participated in the $1,000 + 70 No Limit Hold’em and was able to finish in 2nd place for $34,446. 

His first ever biggest live cash in 2011 was  in the $10,000 + 30 NLH -Super High Roller event, where he got eliminated in 3rd place for a whopping prize money of $643,000. 

2011 was special for Kenney as he won his first-ever tournament, which was the European Poker Tour in the  € 2,000 + 100 NLHE – 6 Max Turbo event for $71,298. 

In 2014, Kenney earned the WSOP bracelet in event #63: $1,500 Six-Handed 10-Game Mix. 

Kenney’s first seven-figure score in his career came in 2016 when he won the PCA $100k Super High Roller for $1,687,800. Later that year, Kenney secured another million-dollar-plus score in the Triton Manila Event, earning $1,401,694 after finishing in 2nd place.

Kenney’s career after 2016 was different, and it completely changed his life forever. 

At the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure in 2017, he won the $1,946,911 prize. This was at the €100,000 Super High Roller 8-Max event at PokerStars Championship in 2017. 

In March 2019, Kenney finished second in Triton Poker Super High Roller Series in Jeju, South Korea, securing a massive $3,062,513 for his efforts. 

Bryn Kenney’s largest-ever live cash came in 2019  when he participated in the Triton Million and finished second for £16,890,509 ($20,563,324). This achievement by Kenney still stands as the largest prize money in the history of his poker career.  The year 2020 saw him notch up a 4th-place finish in the A$100,000 Challenge at 2020 Aussie Millions for $399,221. 

His biggest cash in 2023 was $ 6,860,000, which he earned for winning $ 250,000 + 12,500 No Limit Hold’em – Luxon Invitational (Event #9) atTriton Poker Super High Roller Series London.

His most recent cash includes a 7th-place finish worth € 74,100 in the € 25,000 No Limit Hold’em (Event #28) at EPT Paris. As of now, Bryn Kenney has a live cash win of $65,195,990.

Bryn Kenney’s net worth 

The New Yorker currently sits at a net worth of $90 million, according to reports. As I already mentioned, His main income comes from both online and live poker. He recently became the ambassador of a newly made poker site 4Poker and earns a significant amount from it. 

Bryn Kenney Cheating Allegations 

In April 2022, poker player Martin Zamani accused Bryn Kenney of running a cult-like online poker cheating operation on the online poker site GGPoker. Even though Kenney denied it, the allegations did irreversible damage to Bryn Kenney’s reputation.
