In a riveting display of skill and strategy, two Indians etched their names in the annals of poker history by clinching victories for India at the Poker Dream 10 Vietnam. Nishant Sharma emerged victorious in the Main Event of the series, while Pocket52 Team Pro Dhaval Mudgal from Delhi etched his name as the champion of the Mini Main Event, where he outlasted a field of 151 entries to earn a substantial VND 368 Million (INR 12.10 Lakhs). This marked his second live title of 2024, following his victory in the Mystery Rush Bounty at the USOP Da Nang Part 1, Da Nang this year in March.

The atmosphere was electric and the stakes were high with the VN₫ 12,000,000 (USD 515) buy-in Event #21: Mini Main Event, creating a massive prize pool of VND 1,581,876,000 (~USD 62,1000), which was finally shared by the top 23 finishers. With steely determination and impeccable skill, Mudgal navigated through the field of formidable opponents to finally emerge as the champion. Dhaval eventually defeated China’s He Jiaqi who took home VND 249,376,000 for his efforts.
But Mudgal’s triumph was not the only story to unfold at the mini main event. Two other Indians also showcased their skills at the prestigious tournament. Of the two, Mumbai Pro and Natural8 India director Kunal Patni finished 21st for VND 18,300,000, while India’s Vikas Waghray was the first player to finish in the money, taking home the same amount for his 23rd place finish.
