Delta Corp Sees A Significant Surge in Net Profit

Delta Corp, a leading player in the gaming and hospitality industry in India, has recently announced a significant surge in its consolidated net profit for the quarter ending March 2024. It was very shocking, as the company saw a decline in sales but it managed to achieve a remarkable 41.51% increase in net profit compared to the previous quarter.

Delta Corp reported a surge in net profit to Rs 72.41 crore in the March 2024 quarter, compared to Rs 51.17 crore in the same quarter of the previous year. This growth occurred despite a 9.10% decline in sales, which amounted to Rs. 194.81 crore for the quarter.

As earlier reported by Business Standard, Delta Corp for the entire fiscal year ending March 2024, saw a slight dip in net profit by 6.56% totaling Rs. 244.23 crore compared to Rs 261.37 crore in the previous fiscal year. Likewise, the company saw a 4.06% decline in sales, amounting to Rs 925.30 crore for the year.

Analyzing Delta Corp’s operational performance, the company reported an Operating Profit Margin (OPM) of 21.41% for the quarter, which marks a decrease from 28.08% in the same period last year. Profit Before Depreciation and Tax (PBDT) experienced a decline of 25% to Rs 57.23 crore for the quarter, while profit Before Tax (PBT) dropped by 32% to Rs 42.31 crore.

Despite the hurdles, the company has managed to maintain a steady financial position, which indicates the company’s ability to navigate through the evolving gaming industry.
