Countdown Begins: Manila Super Series 20 Begins Next Week With PHP 16.5M in Prizes!

The popular PokerStars Live Manila Super Series 20 is just two weeks away from the kick-off. The series is set to take place at Okada Manila, Philippines. This event marks its 20th edition since it started in 2017, and it has now become a favorite poker series among poker enthusiasts in the Philippines. 

The series will run from May 24th to June 2nd, 2024, offering a total of 34 events with a guaranteed prize pool of over PHP 16,500,000 (~$287,720), with half of it going to the Main Event.

Apart from the Main Event, there are at least five other events in the lineup that offer guaranteed prize pools. PokerStars is gearing up for the upcoming APPT Manila 2024, and they are going to give several APPT Manila Packages to Manila Super Series 20 winners.

5 Guaranteed Events in Manila Super Series 20

Aside from the Main Event, there are five other events with guaranteed prize pools at the PokerStars LIVE Manila Super Series. The SuperStack, Warm Up, and Hot Hyper Turbo tournaments kick off on the opening day. The Survivor Knockout Event is from May 28th to May 29th and Super Series Turbo is from May 29th to June 2nd. 

Together with the Main Event, these six events contribute to The combined guaranteed prize pool of PHP 16,500,000. The Winner of the Warm Up tournament will receive a PHP 80,000 (~$1,395) entry to the APPT Manila Main Event, and the Super Series Turbo champion will be awarded a PHP 120,000 (~$2,090) APPT Manila Main Event Package.

Manila Super Series 20 Main Event 

The main highlight of Manila Super Series 20 is the Main Event with a buy-in of PHP 20,000 (~$350). The main event will kick off on May 29th and features four starting flights with unlimited re-entries, each with 30-minute blind levels except for the final Turbo flight, which has 15-minute blind levels.

Players participating in any Day 1 entry will receive a starting stack of 30,000 chips to navigate through the field and aim for a spot among the top 15%, ensuring a minimum payout. In Day 2 the Blind Levels are extended to 40 minutes, leading up to the final table and crowning the champion.

Aside from the prize money, the top two finishers of the Main Event will receive an APPT Manila Main Event package, which includes accommodation, valued at PHP 120,000 (~$2,090), taken from the prize pool. 

Those who find the Main Event buy-in too high, can participate in the qualifiers available at just PHP 3,000 (~$52).
