May is going to be the biggest month for poker enthusiasts, as we are going to see some of the biggest poker events, including the World Series of Poker. Let’s take a look at the biggest poker tournaments from all over the world, which are scheduled to happen in May 2024.
Major Live Poker Tournaments in May 2024
WSOP 2024 – May 28 – July 17, 2024
The World Series of Poker (WSOP) is the biggest poker event in the world. Founded in 1970 by Benny Binionm, it gained popularity during the early 2000s and forever changed poker for good.
To the delight of poker fans, the 55th annual World Series of Poker is scheduled to take place from May 28 to July 27, 2024 at the Horseshoe Hotel and Casino, Paris Las Vegas. The upcoming series features 99 gold bracelet events with low buy-ins to high buy-ins, giving everyone a chance to win some money and make their mark in the biggest poker tournament.
The biggest highlight of the WSOP 2024 will be the main event, which has a $10,000 entry fee. The winner of the event will take the largest chunk from the guaranteed prize pool and the prestigious WSOP Gold Bracelet. Pokerstars LIVE – Belgian Poker Challenge – May 8 – 20, 2024
The Pokerstars Live Belgian Poker Challenge is scheduled to take place from May 8 to May 29, 2024. The festival features a massive € 1 million in guaranteed prize pool. The highlight of the series is the €1,100 (~USD 1,211) Main Event, which features a guaranteed prize pool of €1,000,000 (~USD 1,101,000)! This exciting event will be hosted at the Circus Casino Namur.
WPT 500 Montreal – May 9 – May 22, 2024
The World Poker Tour’s WPT 500 Montreal will be hosted at the popular Playground Poker Club, from May 9 to May 22, 2024. The festival featuring over $4,200,000 in guarantees includes several significant events, including the $3,500 WPT Championship featuring a guarantee of $2,000,000, which plays down from May 16-20. A $1,150 WPT Prime Montreal Championship event will take place from May 12-17 with a $1,000,000 guarantee.
Other events on the festival schedule will include a WPT500 Montreal Championship and a Meet Up Game hosted by WPT Team members Brad Owen, Matt Savage, Tony Dunst, and Vince Van Patten. It will also have a $10,500 High Roller on May 19 with $250,000 guarantee.
VPL Hanoi 2023 Season II – May 3 – May 13, 2024
The Vietnam Poker League is returning for season 2 this May after the success of its inaugural season 1. The 11-day festival will feature a total of 39 events to be hosted from May 3 to May 13 at the Grand Loyal Poker Club, in Hanoi, Vietnam. The series guarantees a total prize pool of VND 40 Billion (~USD 1,741,400), which is up 25% from the inaugural edition.
The upcoming series will be headlined by the Main Event, which features a guaranteed prize pool of VND 12 Billion (~USD 489,795) and will run from May 9-13 with four starting flights.
WPT Vietnam Passport to the World Championship – May 14 – 27, 2024
The WPT Vietnam Passport to the World Championship is returning! This series will take place at The Crown Poker Club from May 14 to May 27, 2024. The series has a 50 billion VND (~USD 2,174,000) in guaranteed prize pools, including a 15 billion VND (~USD 652,200) Main Event.
Additionally, participants have the opportunity to win one of the 10 guaranteed packages to the WPT World Championship 2024 at Wynn Las Vegas. Winners of these packages will also receive an extra $1,000 for travel expenses from the Crown Poker Club.
EAPT UK – May 17 – May 27, 2024
The £500k guaranteed EAPT UK is scheduled to take place from May 17 to May 27, 2024, with satellite events taking place on May 3 and May 5. The main highlight of the festival is the main event, which is scheduled for May 24-27 with a buy-in of £560 (~USD 550) and a guaranteed prize pool of half a million pounds. The festival will be hosted at the prestigious Dusk Till Dawn Poker Club.
The Australian Poker Tour Gold Coast Championship – May 18 – May 16, 2024
APT Gold Coast Championship is set to take place from May 18 to 26, 2024 at the Southport Sharks Club, Gold Coast, Australia. The series features an impressive lineup of 40 events, along with over 20 satellite events. Satellite gives everyone a chance to get a seat at the Main Event. WSOP Circuit Paris – May 22 – May 28, 2024
The WSOP International Circuit Paris is scheduled to take place from May 22 to 28, 2023. The event features a €1,200 (~USD 1,320) Main Event. The action kicks off online with a Kickoff event on Winamax from May 19th to May 22nd, with a chance to secure a WSOP Circuit Paris ring and a share of the €1 million guaranteed prize pool with a buy-in of €250.
The other events include the WSOP-C Cup (May 22-23) and theWSOP Circuit Paris High Roller (May 22-24). The action culminates with an exhilarating Omaha event on May 27-28, followed by the Super Sat Pack WSOP Main Event Las Vegas on May 28, 2024.
Pokerstars Manila Super Series 20 – May 24 – June 2, 2024
The Pokerstars Live Manila Super Series 20 is scheduled to take place from May 24 to June 2, 2024 at the prestigious Okada Manila. The main event features a buy-in of P20,000 (~USD 361) and boasts a guaranteed prize pool of P10,000,000 (~USD 181,000).
USOP Hanoi – May 29 – June 10, 2024
The USOP Hanoi 2024 is scheduled to take place at the Crown Poker Club from May 29 to June 10. This series boasts an impressive VND 60 Billion (~USD 2.36 Million) in guaranteed prize pools. WPT Prime San Remo Championship – May 31 – June 10, 2024
The WPT Prime San Remo Championship is set to run from May 31 to June 10, 2024. The poker festival starts on May 31, with the main event €1,100 Championship kicking of on June 6 and ending on June 10.
Deltin Poker Tournament (DPT) – May 21 – 27, 2024
The highly anticipated Deltin Poker Tournament (DPT) May 2024 edition features a bigger line-up of 14 tournaments spanning from May 21 to 27, 2024, making it the biggest event in the series’ history.
The 7-day DPT extravaganza will be hosted at the luxurious Deltin Royale casino in Goa and it will offer something for everyone, with the buy-ins starting from a modest INR 15K and steadily going up to INR 1.1 lakhs. The sereis is headlined by the INR 50K Main Event that features starting flights – Day 1A, Day 1B, and Day 1C.
