Indian poker players are making waves in the international poker arena and Santhosh Suvarna stands out as one of the best poker players among them. Suvarna recently won several prestigious live poker tournaments, making his mark on the global stage.  

Who is Santhosh Suvarna the poker player?

Santhosh Suvarna is an Indian poker player and businessman currently living in Dubai. He was the head of the popular poker room, Rockets Poker Room Bangalore, India. He later collaborated with Vikram Kumar, another businessman and poker player to start operations at Cadillac Diamond Casino in Goa. 

What is the Net worth of Santhosh Suvarna?

Santhosh Suvarna’s net worth is between $7 Million to $10 Million. The player earns his money from Poker tournaments and his side business. 

Santhosh Suvarna’s Poker Career and Live Earnings 

As per Hendon Mob, Suvarna played his first poker tournament in 2017 in the No Limit Hold’em – High Roller event where he finished at number 7th for $6,973. Suvarna participates mostly in high-roller games and is considered as India’s high-stakes poker superstar.

2023 was the best year for Suvarna as the player won several High Roller tournaments to become the second richest poker player in India. In May 2023, Suvarna participated in the Triton GG Super Millions Live event where he finished at number 1 place for $700,000. That was Suvarna’s first big tournament win. 

Later in October 2023, he participated in the Triton Super High Roller Series main event. The player wasn’t able to win the Triton trophy but made it to the podium, finishing third for a massive seven-figure amount of $1,772,000. It was his biggest live earnings yet. 

The next month in November 2023, the player made his mark in a WSOPE event. He participated in the World Series of Poker Europe 50k Diamond High Roller (Bracelet Event #12) where he outlasted a star-studded field of 29 elite players, winning his first WSOPE bracelet and a $695,291 from the total prize pool of € 1,739,925.

In December 2023, he participated in the WSOP Super High Roller Event, Suvarna finished at number 14th place for $93,200. 

Suvarna wasn’t able to win any big at the end of 2023, but he started 2024 with a bang. Suvarna won his first-ever EPT title and over $378,000 by clinching a High Roller title at EPT Paris last month. Suvarna’s total live earnings stand at more than $7 Million. With his recent EPT win, he moved into the second spot on India’s All-Time Money List.

After EPT Paris series, he jumped into APT Taipei event where he made his mark by finishing fourth for $30,370 in the Single Day High Roller (Event #15). Currently, he is taking part in the Triton Super High Roller Series Jeju where he had recently placed 14th for $ 267,750 in the $150,000 + 9,000 No Limit Hold’em – 8-Handed (Event #9).

Suvarna has added many accolades to his name this year. He has made a historic debut at the ongoing PokerGO’s High Stakes Poker Season 12. Additionally, he is slated to feature  Hustler Casino Live’s $1 MILLION GAME, which returns in May this year and features poker stars like Doug Polk, Tony G, Alan Keating and other high stakes pro players.
