UK poker vlogger Peggy Crawford, known as PocketPeg on her YouTube channel, has clinched her maiden trophy after outlasting 32 entries in the Ladies Event at the ongoing 2024 WSOP Circuit UK.
The WSOP International Circuit – series kicked off at Dusk Till Dawn on Friday, March 15th. The series began with the £340 Multi flight Colossus, which lived up to its name, drawing in 467 players and creating a £134,496 prize pool. Only 70 of those hopefuls made money and walking away with the lion’s share of the prize pool was Alexander Maskell who eventually outlasted Danny Strange (runner-up for £12,425) to win the coveted trophy and £16,020 in prize money. The tournament ended in a five deal with Chris Fleming (3rd for £15,155), Thang Truong (4thfor £11,305), and Yifei Chen (5th for £11,391) being the other beneficiaries of the deal.
The second event of the series was WSOPC Event #2: £230 Ladies Event that began on Saturday and drew total of 32 entries for a prize pool of £6400. The UK poker vlogger Peggy Crawford went on to take down the event, winning her maiden WSOP circuit ring and £2670 in top prize. This was her first final table finish as well as her first win, which she believes could lead to great opportunities.
Peggy shared her winner’s photo with her followers on Instagram that read “Winning a WSOP ring with the J4o,let’s goooo ” Jack-four offsuit is now known as “The Robbi” after Robbi Jade Lew’s infamous hand vs Garrett Adelstein.
Crawford, relatively new to the poker scene, defeated Susan Mason in the heads-up. Third place and £1,105 went to Natalie Musumeci, while fourth place went to Yanwen Li, who collected £645.
