The Global Poker Index (GPI) has relaunched the Player of the Month in 2024, and since then has awarded numerous players for their top-notch performance. The GPI recently added Russia’s Anatoly Filatov to its Player of the Month award for March 2025.
Anatoly Filatov – GPI Player of the Month For March 2025
The former Partypoker Millions Champion, Anatoly Filatov, has been awarded the GPI Player of the Month for March 2025. Filatov ended the GPI March leaderboard with 1,261.83 points, narrowly beating the Omaha Specialist Benjamin Tollerene, who holds second place on GPI’s March ranking with 1,238.94 points. China’s Biao Ding, Alex Foxen, and seven-time bracelet winner Daniel Negreanu ended the leaderboard among the top five finishers.
Filatov has lowered his tournament volume, participating only in a handful of events since late 2024. After three cash finishes at the 2024 WSOP Paradise, Filatov returned to the live circuit in March 2025, participating in the Triton Poker SHRS Jeju where he shipped Event #6 – $25k NLH WPT Global Slam for a career-best $1,882,000 and 624 GPI points.
The Russian player has been playing Triton since 2019, but has failed to score any big wins. This time, Filatov flipped the script, scoring four money finishes, including his maiden Triton title with a career-defining victory in the 25K NLH WPT Global Slam.
Anatoly Filatov first scored a 20th-place finish in Event #5: $30k NLH for his first recorded Triton cash of $81,500 and 202+ GPI points. He followed it by winning Event #6: $50k WPT Global Slam for a career-best $1,882,000 paycheck and 624 points. Filatov then finished 28th and 11th in Event #8: $50k NLH and Event #11: $100k Main Event, respectively, earning over $560k in total and amassing GPI points to climb up the leader and earn GPI’s March Player of the Month title.
