Omar Lakhadari Ships the 2025 WPT Prime Cyprus Championship
Algeria’s poker veteran, Omar Lakhadari, secures his career’s second major WPT title, winning the 2025 World Poker Tour Prime Cyprus Championships. For the victory, Lakhadari earned a six-figure score of $190,940, and a ticket to the 2025 WPT World Championship Main Event. It was Lakhadari’s first victory of the year, pushing his career earnings close to $3.5 million, to extend his lead on Algeria’s all-time money list.
The $1,100 buy-in Prime Championship event drew an entry field of 1,391 runners across five starting flights, which generated a total prize pool of $1,349,270. Of the 1,391 entries, the top 177 players ended up with a payout, while the top 2 finishers received a six-figure payout. The tournament concluded with Omar Lakhadari, the 2020 WPTDeepStacks Main Event Champion, as the champion. Joseph Haddad rounded out the podium to collect $93,000 and Attila Saracoglu finished in 2nd place, pocketing $125,000.

John Dollinger Secures the 2025 WSOP Circuit Hard Rock Tulsa Main Event
A month ago, John Dollinger cashed in the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Circuit Bay Area Main Event, finishing in 33rd place. Now, the player etched his name into the WSOP Circuit, becoming the newest WSOP Circuit Main Event champ, winning the WSOPC Hard Rock Tulsa ME for a staggering $147,178 top prize. His latest victory brought his accumulated live earnings past $1.25 million and added his career second circuit ring to the trophy tally.
The $1,700 buy-in main event saw 487 entries, offering a total prize pool of $737,805 to the top 74 finishers. Iman Alsaden finished in 3rd place to collect an impressive $67,346, whereas Russell Brooks battled against Dollinger to win the Main Event. However, it was the latter who sealed the victory. Brooks pocketed $98,109 for his runner-up finish.
