The 2024 WPT Rock ‘n’ Roll Poker Open is currently underway inside the Seminole Hard Rock poker room. In this article, we will discuss the latest poker winners of the festival – Faraz Jaka and Brandon Wilson who triumphed in Event #37 and Event #42 for a six-figure payday.
Faraz Jaka Wins Event #37: $10k NLH DeepStack
After intense two-day battles from December 1 to December 2, bracelet winner Faraz Jaka emerged victorious, claiming the SHR trophy and a six-figure payout of $313,495. The victory pushed Jaka’s live earnings past $8 million. This was Jaka’s first live poker win of the year, after a runner-up finish at the 2024 WSOP Heads-Up Championship for a $300k payday.
A total of 110 players registered for the $10k no-limit hold ’em tournament, creating a seven-figure total prize pool of $1,045,000. 14 players split the seven-figure payout, among them were some notable players, including two-time bracelet winner Justin Saliba (10th), Shannon Shorr (9th), and four-time WPT main event final tablist Viet Vo (3rd).
Phillip Krnyaich finished as the runner-up, adding his first-ever six-figure score of $193,325 to his growing poker resume.

Brandon Wilson Secures His Fourth Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open High Roller Title
Brandon Wilson, the Illinois native, won his fourth SHRPO High Roller title at the 2024 WPT Rock ‘n’ Roll. Wilson took down the 2024 WPT Rock ‘n’ Roll Poker Open Event #42: $25.5k no-limit hold’em High Roller banking a career-high payout of $602,900. This was Wilson’s third SHRPO High Roller title of the year, and his fourth HR title in 16 months. With this victory, he now has nearly $3.2 million in earnings.
The $25.5k buy-in saw a turnout of 85 entrants, which crushed the $1 million guarantee with the $2,099,500 in final prize pool. 12 players made it to the money, which saw several high-stakes pros, such as Jesse Lonis (9th), Matthew Frankland (8th), five-time WSOP bracelet winner Kristen Foxen (7th), Carlos Chadha (6th), two-time bracelet winner Frank Funaro (5th), and Shannon Shorr (3rd).
The heads-up kicked off between newcomer Justin Chu and Wilson. Chu initially held an early lead, but Wilson, with his final table expertise, took back the lead for a victory. On the final hand of the tournament, Wilson with his pocket threes made a full house on the board to crack the pocket jacks of Chu. Justin Chu added a six-figure payday of $402,000 to his resume.
