The Vietnam Poker League (VPL) Summer Series inside the Grand Loyal Poker Club in Hanoi is running full steam. Starting on May 3,  this event will run till May 13, offering 40 billion VND in guaranteed prize pools. The VND 25,000,000 Main Event features a guaranteed prize pool of VND 12,000,000,000 (~$473,632) and will kick off today, May 9.

In the midst of an exhilarating wave of enthusiasm at the series, Indians are seizing the spotlight building on their triumphant streak from recent poker events like HSOP Championship, VIPT, and Poker Dream 10 Vietnam. Following Avneesh Munjal’s victory in Short Deck event, it is now Navkiran Singh who has claimed the victory in the VND 8.80 Million buy-in #20 Super Deepstack championship at the ongoing VPL series.

Navkiran, the visionary Founder and CEO of Baazi Games and PokerBaazi.com, emerged triumphant from a  field of 323 formidable contenders in the tournament, clinching the prestigious title along with an impressive VND 318M in prize money, following a five-way deal with Vietnam’s Tran Huy Phong,  Dinh Van Tien, Riku Mieda, and Wang Luda.

According to The Hendon Mob, this remarkable achievement marks his career’s third live poker title, following his previous victories in the Bounty (Event #88) at the 2019 DeepStack Championship Poker Series and the Baazi Poker Tour (BPT) High Roller event in 2020.

Navkiran’s previous live cash was ₫ 28,500,000, which he earned for a commendable fourth place at the Pot Limit Omaha event at the USOP Hanoi last year. This latest victory not only signifies his first live cash of 2024 but also marks his first live title of the year. The ongoing series also features a player of the series leaderboard and Navkiran is currently ranked 8th on the leaderboard with an impressive 750 LB points.
