In another key event recently, Christine Davis emerged victorious in Event #10: $300 Ladies Event at the 2024 World Series of Poker Circuit Playground. She eventually defeated a stacked final table, including Nancy Brett heads-up to clinch her first-ever WSOP circuit ring and $9,335 in top prize.

2024 WSOP International Circuit Playground Event #10: $300 Ladies Recap
This was the tenth of 15 circuit events and attracted a field of 145 entrants for a prize pool of $35,525, smashing its $10,000 guarantee. The prize pool was shared by the top 22 finishers with a min cash of $350 CAD. Following the elimination of Danielle Rancy on the stone bubble, Laetitia Jeancolas was the first player to finish in the money. Eliminations were quick with Davis, Brett and Yongwei Gao scoring multiple eliminations post the bubble. The final table was reached after the elimination of Shaw-Ying Chaw who exited in the eleventh-place, earning $800 CAD for her remarkable performance.
Mignault began the final table with a very short stack and unsurprisingly was the first player to fall against Nathasha Tatta’s ace-king. She was followed by Florence Masset, Yongwei Gao, Zerina Brenie and Elisabetta Bertucci in ninth, eighth, seventh and sixth place respectively. Bertucci (Ah 8s) was busted in sixth place by Davis( Kc Jc) who turned a straight to bust her opponent and extend her lead at the table.
The next players to fall were Laurie Willett-Turner and Stacey Sullivan falling in fifth and fourth places respectively. They were followed by Natasha Tatta. The heads-up began with Davis holding close to a 2:1 chip lead. Following a back-and-forth battle in this long heads-up, Brett finally ran her king-queen into Davis’ ace-king in a preflop battle that saw her left with just ten big blinds. Up next, Brett shoved with nine-six of clubs and Davis called with pocket nines, which held to win her the coveted title.
