The Triton Poker Super High Roller Series Montenegro, held at the Maestral Resort & Casino in Budva, is in full swing, with just a handful of events left. The series recently crowned two new champions, including Triton regular Matthias Eibinger, who captured his fourth career Triton Poker title by winning Event #11: $50K NLH Turbo. At the same time, Lithuania’s Dominykas Mikolaitis earned his first-ever Triton title by taking down Event #9: $50K NLH 7-Handed.

Dominykas Mikolaitis Wins His Maiden Triton Trophy

Lithuania’s Dominykas Mikolaitis has been a regular on the Triton Poker tour, with ten cashes since the 2024 Triton Poker Jeju stop. Mikolaitis finally fulfilled his dream by securing the coveted Triton Poker trophy.

Mikolaitis triumphed in Event #9: $50K NLH 7-Handed, which attracted an elite 100-player field, generating a $5,000,000 prize pool that was paid out to the top 17 finishers. The event was fast-paced, with players reaching the money quickly. Afterward, the field rapidly narrowed down to the final seven, forming the final table. Veteran players such as Phil Ivey, Jason Koon, Ren Lin, Mikita Badziakouski, Steve O’Dwyer, and Nacho Barbero made the money but failed to reach the final table.

Mikolaitis entered the final table with a middling stack and was even down to just seven big blinds before doubling up and saving his tournament life. He steadily and quietly built his stack, entering three-handed play with a significant chip advantage. He scored his first elimination by knocking out pro David Peters in third place, who earned $552,000.

Heads-Up

Mikolaitis entered the heads-up duel with a 2-to-1 chip lead over Alex Kulev. While many expected a long battle, it ended in just a few hands. In the final hand of the tournament, Kulev jammed with ace-ten for a potential double-up. Mikolaitis snap-called with ace-eight of spades. The board brought an eight, sealing the victory and adding another champion to Triton’s history books.

Alex Kulev earned $850,000 for his runner-up finish, while Mikolaitis took home a life-changing $1,258,000 and the prestigious Triton trophy. The win also brought his total Triton earnings close to $4 million.

Matthias Eibinger Secures His Fourth Triton Title

Austria’s Matthias Eibinger showcased his Turbo expertise by winning yet another fast-structured event—Event #11: $50K NLH Turbo Bounty Quattro—bringing his total Triton titles to four. For the win, he collected a six-figure payout of $531,000, along with an additional $360,000 in bounties, pushing his lifetime poker earnings past $23 million.

The event drew 511 entries, creating a total prize pool of $2,550,000, split among the top eight finishers. Eibinger entered the final table second in chips and soon took over the lead. During four-handed play, he scored a double elimination, knocking out two players, one in 3rd place and the other in 4th, in a massive hand with jack-seven of hearts on a favorable board.

Heads-Up

Eibinger entered heads-up play with 64 big blinds against Wang Ye’s 17 blinds. Wang managed to avoid elimination for a brief period, but the final hand arrived quickly. Wang shoved with six-five of spades, and Eibinger snap-called with king-three. The board brought no help to Wang, sending him to the rail in second place with $384,000.
