Welcoming the New Year, the Chinese Texas Hold’em Poker Association (CTP Club) prepares to host the Asia Poker Carnival (APC) in Taipei City. This extensive month-long event showcases back-to-back tournaments from three major brands, offering an impressive combined prize pool guarantee of over NTD 60 Million, equivalent to around 2 Million USD.
Starting on January 5 and continuing through February 5, 2024, all the thrilling action will unfold at the Asia Poker Arena, the largest physical poker room in the region.

1. U Series of Poker (USOP): January 5 – 15, 2024
Guaranteed Prize Pool: NTD 40,000,000 (~USD 1.28 Million)
Main Event Prize Pool: NTD 15,000,000 (~USD 479,200) with a buy-in of NTD 33,000 (~USD 1,054)
45 trophy events and 24 satellite tournaments catering to players of all levels.
In the previous season, Edwin Dela Cruz from the Philippines claimed the historic title of the inaugural live USOP Main Event champion.
2. Japan High Roller Festival: January 16 – 23, 2024
Main Event buy-in: NTD 100,000 (~USD 3,200)
The previous JHR festival was held in Taiwan in March 2019, showcasing a lineup of 19 games where the local pro En Ching “Jack” Wu clinched the title in the Main Event. Moving into January 2023, JHR partnered with CTP to launch the CTP Championship Series X Japan High Roller, presenting a total of 32 games, 15 of which were exclusively JHR tournaments.

3. Taiwan Millions Tournament Season 15: January 19 – February 5, 2024
Anticipated Guaranteed Prize: NT$ 20,000,000 (~USD 638,950)
At the previous edition, the TMT 14 Main Event soared with an impressive turnout of 3,485 participants, resulting in a prize pool of over NTD 22.8 million. Local talent Chiayun Wu emerged victorious, claiming a massive NTD 3.6 million prize (approx. USD 114,900).
Asia Poker Arena (APA) Facilities:
The Asia Poker Arena sets the stage for the carnival, offering:
- A 9-player livestream feature table
- Commentary room
- Restaurant
- Lounge area
- Accommodating up to 65 tables across 540 square meters of space.
The event features 15 to 20 expert dealers, ensuring seamless gameplay and a professional atmosphere. Accepted currencies at APA events include NTD, USD, Euro, and JPY, catering to an international audience.
