 Pratibh Saluja Triumphs in Hyper Relax Tournament at VIPT Hanoi 2024

Indian players are making waves on the international stage. Currently in the spotlight is India’s rising star Pratibh Saluja, who shipped the last tournament at the Vietnam International Poker Tour (VIPT) Hanoi 2024. Saluja took down the Hyper Relax tournament, winning India its second trophy in the series. Prior to Salaja, it was India’s Deepankur Gupta who won the Vietnam Open title for a sum of VND 1.2 Billion.  Gupta overcame a competitive field of 936 challengers to claim his maiden VIPT title and trophy.

This tournament had a buy-in of VND 2.3 Billion and featured a starting stack of 15K with the late registration open till the start of Level 10. Apart from Saluja, the final table of the Hyper Relax also featured Amit Kaushik battling hard for the top spot.

Team India’s Performance at VIPT Hanoi 2024

We saw Avneesh Munjal, Ritwik Khanna, Neel Joshi, Ashit Sharma, veteran poker pro Jasven Saigal, Harsh Bubna, Suresh Kolli, Shivam Shukla, Laksh Pal Singh, Amit Kaushik, and Himanshu Chhikara cashing at the recent VIPT Hanoi 2024 series. Apart from the two title victories, Kaushik and Munjal scored final table finishes and deep runs in the series.

Australia’s William Jia was crowned as the champion of the VND 40 Billion VIPT Main Event. He overcame a  massive 624-player field to clinch a VND 2.26 Billion victory. Vietnam’s Nguyen Van Sang finished close behind him and took home an impressive VND 1.58 Billion for his runner-up finish.

Headlining the Team India’s scorecard in this main event were Avneesh Munjal and Neel Joshi, with Munjal finishing 17th for VND 101.20 Million and Neel Joshi placing 18th for the same prize money.
