At the recently-concluded WPT Korea 2024, Ouyang Jiali from China dominated the Event #2: WPT Super High Roller, seizing the top spot with a prize of KRW 405,260,000. The two-day event running from March 25-26 had a buy-in of KRW 40,000,000 (~USD 29,750) and drew in 29 players for a prize pool of KRW 1,079,960,000 (~USD 805,270), which was finally shared by the top 5 finishers.

In the end, Ouyang Jiali emerged victorious from the tough field and walked away with the lion’s share of the prize pool, showcasing her exceptional skills and strategic prowess on the felt.

The spotlight continued to highlight women’s achievements at the recent WPT Voyage. Caitlin Comeskey showcased her brilliance by topping a field of 231 entries and clinching the WPT Voyage Ladies event, bagging a substantial $10,221 prize.

This was her second career title and expressing her feelings, she said, “It feels amazing. A WPT title is definitely so exciting. It’s only my second tournament win and it’s my second tournament win within a couple months. I’ve really gotten serious about my MTT game and I called my shot. I said I was going to win this morning and I never really give up at any point.”

Allison Hollander Finishes Sixth in WPT Prime Voyage Championship

Notably, Allison Hollander exhibited exceptional skills, securing a commendable sixth place finish worth $31,000 in the WPT Prime Voyage Championship, a $1,100 buy-in and $500K GTD event that drew in 968 runners and crowned a winner in Brazil’s Gregory De Faria, who claimed $155,400 in top prize, which included a $10,400 seat into the season-ending WPT World Championship in Las Vegas.

Among the notable participants at the final table was Kasey Mills, who showcased her skills and determination. Despite bowing out in 7th place for $42,000 after a tough hand, Mills’ presence exemplified the strength and resilience of female players in competitive poker.
