Phil Hellmuth and Phil Galfond are considered as the two of the greatest poker minds in the world, and BetRivers is fortunate enough to have both of them as its ambassadors.
People have been debating as to who is the better player between the two. To settle this debate, BetRivers Poker, the newest online poker site in Pennsylvania, recently brought the two to Philadelphia for the “Battle for Phil-adelphia, where the two played a pair of $5,000 freezeouts with blinds of $25-$50. In the end, the 17-time bracelet winner Hellmuth reigned supreme, winning $10k off the younger Phil Galfond.
Serving as a promotional event for BetRivers Poker, the heads-up matches between the two legends were live-streamed for 4 days. Hellmuth streamed his online poker play on Wednesday and Friday, while Galfond streamed a session on Saturday. Finally, the two squared off on Sunday, with Hellmuth ultimately winning it. The match was aired on BetRivers Twitch channel. It was also aired on Hellmuth’s and Galfond’s social media channels.
