To celebrate its 10th anniversary, Indian poker platform PokerBaazi hosted the Greatest of All Tournaments (G.O.A.T). The tournament featured a staggering ₹25 crore prize pool, the largest ever for a single tournament in Indian poker history.

Given the enticing prize pool, the event drew an overwhelming response, attracting more than 15,000 participants, with 1,118 players claiming their share of the enormous ₹25 crore prize pool. While many walked away as lakhpatis, the top two finishers pocketed record payouts, with Sanjay Chaudhury banking a  record-breaking ₹4.14 Crores as the runner-up and Kabir Chhatwal walking away with a massive ₹ 3.10 Crores, courtesy the heads-up deal.

Kabir Chhatwal Wins PokerBaazi G.O.A.T 2024

Kabir Chhatwal etched his name into glory by winning PokerBaazi’s G.O.A.T title and taking home a monumental ₹3.10 crores. Chhatwal, who hails from Delhi, initially entered the heads-up battle as the short stack but struck an ICM deal guaranteeing a whopping payout of over ₹3.10 crores.

After the ICM deal, Chhatwal scored several key double-ups, leaving Sanjay Chaudhary with a shrinking stack. In the end, Chaudhary ran his Qs-Jd into Chhatwal’s Ac-Jc. The board didn’t improve Chaudhary’s hand, making Chhatwal the champion. With this victory, Chhatwal climbed to 8th place in the Player of the Year rankings.

Sanjay Chaudhary Bags Record-Breaking ₹4.14 Crores

Despite finishing second, Sanjay Chaudhary from Uttar Pradesh took home ₹4.14 crore, the largest single payout in Indian poker history. The runner-up prize came after Chaudhary after an ICM deal. His impressive performance elevated him to 3rd place in the Player of the Year rankings.

Mohammed Azhar Earns ₹1 Crore

Mohammed Azhar secured third place, earning a remarkable ₹1 crore. This marked Azhar’s biggest online win, surpassing his previous triumph when he won ₹72.35 lakh in the inaugural National Poker Series (NPS) Main Event.
