The U Series of Poker (USOP) recently concluded its first stop of 2024 at the CTP Asia Poker Arena in Taipei City in Taiwan. The high-value series crowned a total of 42 champions, with local player Sam Chen Yu Hung winning the Main Event for a career-high NTD 5,383,000 ($170,475).
Among several other thrilling stories unfolding at the recent series was the remarkable journey of Taiwan’s Chin Ling Hsu who shipped the Event #34: Mystery Rush Bounty on January 12.
The NTD 12,000 buy-in event comfortably surpassed its guarantee, drawing in 107 entries and creating a prize pool of NTD 1,120,930. In the end, it was Taiwan’s own Chin Ling Hsu, who emerged victorious to claim the lion’s share of the prize pool, an impressive NTD 220,800 ($6,993). Isaac Chern Chze from Malaysia placed runner-up, securing NTD 136,200 ($4,313). South Korea’s Lee Jung Yeol (3rd for NTD 81,700) rounded out the podium finishes.

Stealing the spotlight from India was Rajeev Kanjani. The only Indian to cash in the entire series, Kanjani showcased his strategic prowess reaching the final table and securing an impressive 4th-place finish worth NTD 53,400 (INR 1.41 Lac). This was truly a noteworthy finish by Kanjani as the field was studded with many well-known local and regional players.
