Allen Kessler is an American professional poker player from Las Vegas, Nevada. A legendary figure in the world of poker, he has been crushing live tournaments since 2001 and continues to make waves in the live poker arena. Recently, he achieved a significant milestone, reaching a 500-mark in live cashes and becoming the 6th player in history to achieve this feat.
The poker veteran recently finished 9th in the $ 515 + 85 Mixed Triple Draw – A-5/Badugi/2-7 at WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas, earning $2,406 and achieving a 500-milestone in live cashes in his career.
This Triple Draw tourney drew 202 entries for a prize pool of $104,030 and was eventually won by Canada’s Frederic Moss who took home $24,360.
Before his milestone cash in the Triple Triple Draw, Kessler’s friend Ari Engel reminded him that his next cash would mark a milestone number. However, Kessler believed that he had already edged past that number.
Since only 6 players have achieved this incredible feat in poker history, many players came forward to celebrate and congratulate Kessler on his historic accomplishment through their words of appreciation on X.
A Little About Allen Kessler’s Remarkable Journey
Kessler has been playing poker since his college days and has played high-stakes games with players like John Hennigan, Cyndy Violette, Nick Frangos, Phil Ivey and many other big names. He scored his first cash in 2001 with 16th place at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) and won his first title in 2004 with a Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo event win in Los Angeles.
Since then, there has been no looking back as he has been consistently crushing live events across the world. He has won close to two dozen live tournaments, including 4 WSOP rings. With 500 cashes to his name now, he has $4,468,774 in cashes, including $2,315,617 in WSOP cashes.
Some of his major career highlights include the 2009 Winter Bayou Poker Challenge Main Event victory, Heartland Poker Tour Player of the Year 2013 title, 2014 WSOPC Connecticut Main Event win, and a victory in the $ 970 + 130 Limit Omaha 8 or Better Championship at WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas. He also came close to winning his first WSOP bracelet in 2010, finishing runner-up in the $ 10,000 Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo 8 Championships for $ 276,485 – his career best to date.
