The Asian Poker Tour is returning to Manila, Philippines, after a two-year hiatus. Currently gearing up for APT Taipei, the Asian Poker Tour has already planned its next stop in Manila this October.
The festival will run from October 28 to November 7 at the City of Dreams Manila Resort. This 11-day festival offers over ₱170 million (~$3,000,000) in prize pool guarantees across 109 events. The schedule includes 22 high-roller events, 21 mixed games, and 20 Omaha events. Furthermore, 11 events will feature a ₱7 million (~$125,000) prize pool or more.
The APT Manila schedule has a whopping 109 events and satellites offering something for everyone heading to the Philippines.
$1.7 Million GTD in the 2024 APT Manila Main Event
From the $3 million total guarantee, PHP 100 million ($1.7 million) is reserved for the PHP85,000 ($1,500) buy-in APT Main Event. The last APT Manila Main Event had a guarantee of ₱15,000,000 (~$267,857), but 380 entries pushed the prize pool to $405,823. This year’s guarantee has nearly quadrupled the previous Main Event’s prize pool. The APT Manila Main Event will run from October 31 to November 6, with a buy-in of ₱85,000 (~$1,510).
Moses Saquing won the last Main Event, taking home the lion trophy and the $85,681 top prize. The Asian Poker Tour is expecting an even larger field for this year’s Main Event.
2024 APT Manila Key Highlights
Beyond the Main Event, the APT Super High Roller has a guarantee of ₱15,000,000 (~$267,000), with a buy-in of ₱600,000 (~$10,600). The previous APT Super High Roller Series in APT Taipei generated a total prize pool of $1.2 million from 137 entries. Isaac Haxton emerged victorious, winning the $287,690 top prize.
For players who want to compete in a High Roller event but find the Super High Roller out of reach, the APT High Roller offers the same guarantee, with a more accessible buy-in of ₱200,000 (~$3,500).
One of the key highlights of the festival is the APT Manila Superstar Challenge. Although it doesn’t offer a guaranteed prize pool, it boasts a buy-in of ₱1,500,000 (~$25,800). The previous Superstar Challenge in APT Jeju created a $735,623 prize pool, with WSOP bracelet winner Joseph Cheong topping the 36 entries to take home $272,186.

The main event of the APT Manila series serves as the key highlight and has crowned six champions so far, with Moses Saquing being the reigning Main Event champion. He overcame a field of 380 opponents on his way to banking PHP 4,915,100 ($85,681) in November 2022. Two months earlier, Hernan Villa had won the event for a PHP4,560,300 ($79,839) top prize after beating a competitive field of 497 entrants. Here is the list of the past champions!
