Women continue to crush the live poker felts and this weekend was no exception with Angela Jordison etching her name in history with a victory in the recently-concluded Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) Season 16 Grand Falls Main Event. She took home $95,381, following a heads-up deal with TJ Murphy, who settled for $76,736 as a runner-up finisher.
The latest victory was Angela’s second live title of 2025. Also, it marked her second MSPT title, following her $ 1,110 buy-in MSPT Main Event win for $ 161,513 at the MSPT Ameristar East Chicago last year. With the latest win, Jordison’s live earnings now stand over$1.8 million.
2025 MSPT Season 16 Grand Falls Main Event Quick Recap
Sporting a buy-in of $1,110, the MSPT Season 16 Grand Falls Main Event drew an impressive 513 for a prize pool of $496,110, which was finally paid out to the top 55 finishers, who returned to play down to a winner this past Sunday. Following over 9 hours of play, the two-time WSOPC ring winner Angela Jordison came out on top to win the title and top prize.
The final table was set following the elimination of Joe Osterbauer in 10th place for $7,409. Angela Jordison was the second shortest stack at the start of the table but played some top-notch poker to get back in the game, eliminating Jason Sell (6th Place -$20,308), and Kevin Berthelsen (5th Place -$26,757) before eventually defeating TJ Murphy in the heads-up for the title.
Following the elimination of Aaron Knudson at the hands of TJ Murphy, the heads-up match began with Angela Jordison holding 8,220,000 against Murphy’s 7,170,000. After battling a bit, the final two players agreed upon an ICM chop and then played it out for the title. It didn’t take long for Jordison to finish off her opponent.
In the final hand, WSOP bracelet winner Murphy raised to 200k with Jd 6c and Jordison (10d 8c) defended to see the Jc Qd 9h flop. On the turn 2c, Jordison led out with a big bet and Murphy made the call to see the river 2h. Jordison then led out with an all-in bet and Murphy called with his shorter stack. Jordison flopped a straight, which was enough for her to win the coveted second MSPT main event.
