Meet Pratibh Saluja, a poker prodigy from Kolkata, who has been making waves in the domestic poker scene. From a childhood fascination with the game of poker to clinching several prestigious live titles and over a dozen AOPS titles on Adda52, Saluja’s journey in the game has been nothing short of remarkable. Currently, he has over 134 online titles and close to INR 3 Crores in online winnings. Saluja ranks 32nd on India’s GPI rankings, thanks to his impressive live tournament scores across DPT, WPT, APT and APF events in the Asian region.

Saluja’s poker story began at the age of 10 when a friend introduced him to the game, and interestingly, he opted for Pot Limit Omaha (PLO) instead of the popular No-Limit Hold’em. His background in finance, coupled with experience in financial projections and risk assessment, provided a natural synergy with poker. Fast forward to a few years later, his flat-mate introduced him to the world of online poker. He immediately made his account on Adda52 and started grinding. Initially engaging with micro-stakes tournaments, he quickly started making a big chunk of money every month.

His success led him to immerse more deeply in poker especially during the pandemic and he went on to notch up several significant scores across popular platforms like Adda52, Spartan Poker and PokerBaazi. Following his consistent success on the virtual felts, he ventured into live poker and participated in the Deltin Poker Tournament (DPT) in 2018, where he met poker veterans like Sumit Sapra, Laksh Pal Singh.

Saluja won his first DPT title in 2022 by winning the DPT November 2022 25K PLO Bounty Turbo and then repeated the feat the very next year by taking down the DPT July 2023 Big Bounty PLO. In 2023, he also cashed in several other prestigious live poker events including WPT Vietnam, WPT India, WPT Prime Cambodia, APT Hanoi Billions, and APF Hanoi. He even clinched a live title at APF Hanoi.

While he has won on all major poker platforms, he is better known for his impressive wins across AOPS and PPL events. He has been the most consistent player at AOPS with over 12 titles to his name. Although he has just one title, namely 1000X, on the online felts in the last few months, his scorecard looks impressive enough with numerous cashes and final table finishes across online tournaments. Currently ranked 32nd on the GPI India leaderboard, Saluja is consistently moving up the ranks. He is definitely a player to watch out for and we can expect him to make big headlines in 2024.
