Only 22 players returned to Day 3, with Calvin Anderson holding the lowest chip stacks. Anderson flourishes his chip stack on Day 3 and becomes the Chip Leader to kick off his third and final table appearance this summer.

He secured a 3rd place finish in Event #10: $10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo Eight-or-Better Championship and a runner-up position in Event #37: $10,000 Big O Championship. But the third time, he successfully captured his fifth bracelet.

Anderson eliminated Ali Eslami in a Seven-Card Stud event, sending him out in 3rd place for $182,938. Anderson began the heads-up play by holding a 2:1 chip lead over Dai Ishibashi.

Ishibashi gave tough competition to Anderson, but he needed to get premium hands to double up against the chip leader. The final hand of the tournament came out in Pot-Limit Omaha.

From the button, Ishibashi raised with 9♤-7◇-4◇-2♤, while Anderson 3-bet raised with A♧-K◇-Q◇-9♧. Ishibashi called the raise, and the flop came out 8♡-5♤-J◇. Ishibashi, who desperately needed a double up to stay alive, moved all-in, hoping to improve his card on the turn and river.

The turn card was 8♧, and the river card was 5◇, ending Ishibashi’s deep run, taking his career-best payout of $271,351.
