The excitement continues at the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) with the record-breaking main event  field of 10, 112 entries of the prestigious series whittling down to the final 9 players. Each of the remaining competitors secures a minimum of $1,000,000, but they all will be aiming for the massive $10,000,000 first-place prize and stunning new main event bracelet. Jordan Griff leads the final 9 players in the historic event.

While the Main Event drama was unfolding, Indians are making their mark in the ongoing series. Recent bracelet winner Aditya Agarwal made a significant impact, notching up a deep run in Event #89: $3,000 Mid-Stakes Championship. He finished 116th for $8,989, scoring his third WSOP cash this year.

Back home on the virtual felts, the action was sizzling with several massive guaranteed tournaments taking place throughout the week. We saw some incredible performances, with the mystery player ‘Denishokram’ topping the weekly charts with a victory in PokerBaazi’s BSS SuperStack where he eventually struck a heads-up deal with ‘Goldenbear007’ (second for INR 8.14 Lakhs)  to bank INR 10.34 Lakhs, the single largest score of the week.

The biggest score of the belonged to a new poker champion ‘Denishokram’ who overcame a massive field of  1,015 entries (592 unique) in PokerBaazi’s 60 Lakhs GTD BSS SuperStack on Sunday, claiming INR 10.34 Lakh and his first-ever title on PokerBaazi. He eventually struck a heads-up deal with ‘Goldenbear007’ who banked INR 8.14 Lakhs for his remarkable showing in the INR 5,750 buy-in tourney.

Chirag Sodha Wins INR 10 Lakhs in PokerBaazi’s 50 Lakhs GTD The Summit (Double Ante)

The other prominent score of the week went to MTT crusher Chirag Sodha. Fresh off his recent victories in the (PLO-5) BSS and the Sunday Head Hunter, Sodha topped a stacked field of 561 entries (317 unique) in PokerBaazi’s 50 Lakhs GTD The Summit (Double Ante), winning a hefty INR 10 Lakhs  in top prize money. He also cashed one more tournament, collecting INR 10.11 Lakhs from his Thursday grind.

Hot on Sodha’s heel was PokerStars India Team Pro Goonjan Mall, who came close to winning his first The Summit title, but eventually had to settle for the runner-up payout worth INR 6.40 Lakhs in this INR  8,625 buy-in tourney. With the latest deep run, he took his total online profits to over INR 6 Crores.

Amit Kuashik Tops Tuesday Charts With A Victory in PokerBaazi’s 50 Lakhs GTD The Endeavour

Amit Kuashik emerged as the Tuesday chartbuster after taking down PokerBaazi’s 50 Lakhs GTD The Endeavour on Tuesday night. He overcame a formidable field of 957 contenders and a strong final table in the INR 5,750 buy-in tourney, claiming INR 10 Lakh, the single largest score of the day. Siddharth Pandey, the Delhi-based sports entrepreneur, came close to his first The Endeavour title but narrowly missed it, placing runner-up for an impressive INR 5.65 Lakhs for his runner-up showing in the tourney.
