Women continue to shine at the ongoing Asian Poker Tour (APT) Taipei Poker Classic. After Japan’s Sachiko Uchihara, we have another female champion. This time, it is Tsui Han Hsiao from Taiwan claiming victory in Event #21: Single Day High Roller Mystery Bounty of the ongoing series. The local circuit regular overcame a field of 75 entries to earn a career-high TWD 1,823,000 (~$57,709) including TWD 1,120,000 ($35,454) in bounties. Hsiao scored six bounties in her run towards her second APT title.
This marked her first title of 2024 and overall 12th live poker win. With the latest victory, she now has more than $151k in live tournament earnings, ranking herself 86th in Taiwan’s All Time Money list.
Hsiao eventually defeated Hong Kong’s Edward Chun Ho Yam in head’s up for the title. Chun collected a prize purse of TWD 660,000 ($ 20,892) including bounties for her runner-up finish in the tournament. Fellow local Hung Jen Chen finished third, banking TWD 408,000 (~$12,915) including bounties.
Sebastian Largo from Brazil also scored six bounties in the event, but ultimately finished fifth for TWD 905,000 ($28,648), more than doubling is live career winnings. The tournament paid out the top 18 finishers, with Taiwan’s Chi Jen Chu (18th for TWD 80,000) being the first player to finish in the money. Here is a quick look at the final 9 payouts:
