USA’s Scott Seiver achieved a historic feat at the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) this past Sunday. The 39-year-old Las Vegas poker pro overcame a star-studded field of 186 entries in Event #72: $10,000 No-Limit 2-7 Lowball Draw Championship (7-Handed) on Day 34 of the WSOP 2024, claiming his third bracelet of the series and seventh overall. He eventually defeated Canada’s Jonathan Krela heads up to win the top $411,041 prize and bring his career total to more than $26.8 million.
Seiver became the seventh player in poker history to have captured three bracelets in a single year, joining the likes of Puggy Pearson (1973), Phil Hellmuth (1993), Ted Forrest (1993), Phil Ivey (2002), Jeffrey Lisandro (2009), and George Danzer (2014).
Seiver first won the WSOP 2024 Event #10: $10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship (8-Handed) for $426,744 and then followed that up with a victory for $141,374 in Event #40: $1,500 Razz $1,500 buy-in. With the latest victory, he is now the only player to have won three bracelets at the WSOP 2024.
