Sandra Naujoks carved her name into poker history with a career defined by monumental victories and impressive earnings. From a Berlin-based student with dreams of teaching to a celebrated poker champion, Naujoks’ contribution to Women in Poker was nothing short of extraordinary.

Unfortunately, the German Poker Queen retired from the game in 2014, otherwise she definitely would have reached new heights in the current poker world.

Early Life and Introduction to Poker

Born and raised in Berlin, Germany, Sandra Naujoks, the former female poker pro, wore many hats before starting her professional poker journey. She studied History and German at university and earned a dual major. Initially aspiring to become a teacher, she later found herself drawn to graphic design.

Naujoks also ventured into modeling, becoming a highly successful European model as well as a graphic designer. She was introduced to poker through friends and began playing frequently. Naujoks played under the screen name “Black Mamba,” a reference to her pet snake and her love for wildlife animals.

Poker Career Highlights and Earnings

Sandra Naujoks’ first  live cash came in 2008 when she finished 5th in the Casinos Austria Poker Tour (CAPT) Graz Main Event, earning $23,777. A few weeks later, she triumphed in the CAPT Baden €4,000 No Limit Hold’em event, pocketing her first six-figure score of $240,289.

In 2009, Naujoks became the second-ever female champion on the European Poker Tour. She won the EPT Dortmund Main Event, defeating a field of 667 players and claiming a career-defining seven-figure score of $1,159,541. That same year, she ran deep at the WSOP Europe, finishing 10th in the $5k PLO Event for $24,564.

The following year, Naujoks reached the final table of the PCA 2010 $25k High Roller, collecting $56,595 for her 9th-place finish. She participated in a few events from 2011 to 2013 before retiring from poker. Her final recorded cash came in April 2013, when she made a money finish in the EPT Berlin Main Event, earning $19,662.

Net Worth 2024

While there are no official reports on Naujoks’ net worth, it is believed to be in the six-figure range. Naujoks earned nearly $1.8 million through just 24 cashes before retiring from the poker world in 2014.

In addition to her modeling and graphic design career, she was a PokerStars Team Pro and appeared in several PokerStars promotional campaigns.

Where is Sandra Naujoks Now?

Since her last recorded poker cash in 2013, Naujoks retired from poker and moved to Portugal in 2014. In 2015, she founded “Poker Academy Algarve,” where she coached several players.

In addition, Naujoks remains active on social media, regularly posting videos featuring her dogs and horses, showcasing her love for animals.
