This year’s nominees for Best Poker Streamer include some of the most entertaining and skilled players, each bringing their unique style and expertise to Twitch and YouTube. From Lex Veldhuis’ high-energy streams to Benjamin Spragg’s witty commentary, these nominees have captivated poker fans worldwide. Let’s take a closer look at the four contenders vying for the prestigious award. 

1 – Benjamin Spragg—Spraggy (England)

Benjamin Spragg aka “Spraggy” is a British professional poker player, PokerStars Team Pro, and streamer. Spraggy began his poker journey as a semi-professional player and began streaming his poker session on Twitch under his online ‘Spraggy’. 

In 2020, Spraggy began posting content on YouTube. As of February 2025, Spraggy has over 100k subscribers on YouTube and over 171k followers on Twitch, making him one of the biggest Twitch and YouTube poker streamers. Spraggy has lifetime poker earnings of over $3 million from both online and offline since playing poker for more than 12 years. 

He was recently nominated for the Best Streamer award at the Global Poker Awards, and this wasn’t his first time. The Global Poker Awards nominated Spraggy several times for this category, and he won it in 2022. 

2 – Bert Stevens – girafganger7 (Belgium)

Bert Stevens, is a Belgian professional poker player and Twitch streamer. Stevens is widely regarded as one of the best online poker tournament players. Stevens popularly known as ‘girafganger7’–his online poker username and Twitch name. 

Stevens has established himself as one of the greatest online poker tournament players by winning the biggest WSOP Online Main Event in 2023 for a whopping $2.7 million payday. According to reports, Stevens’s lifetime poker earnings are close to eight figures. Besides the coveted bracelet, the pro has EPT online titles and several GGPoker Super MILLION$ victories. 

Stevens began poker streaming back in 2023 and was awarded the Best Streamer Award at the Global Poker Awards in 2023.

3 – Jon Van Fleet – apestylepoker (USA)

Jonathan “apestyles” Van Fleet has been a dominating force in the online poker world, and boasts over $22 million in earnings. A consistent high-stakes crusher, he has won prestigious titles, including PokerStars SCOOP, WCOOP, FTOPS, and the 888 Super High Roller. 

Fleet’s career-best earning came in 2017, winning $1,027,000 in the partypoker MILLIONS. He secured his first WSOP ring in 2019 by winning the WSOP 2019 Super High Roller in Montreal. Fleet began live streaming in early 2021 and has been regular on Twitch with over 51k followers. He was nominated for Best Poker Streamer in 2022 and 2023. 

4 – Lex Veldhuis – LexVeldhuis (Netherlands)

Lex Veldhuis, the Dutch poker player, who needs no introduction, has played against the likes of Daniel Negreanu, Doyle Brunson, Phil Ivey, and Phil Hellmuth in the mid-2000s. Veldhuis was initially an esports player who transitioned into a professional poker player in 2005 by playing online poker on PokerStars. Since 2005, Veldhuis has won several online poker tournaments and titles like the SCOOP, and WCOOP and appeared in numerous poker shows, like The Big Game. His lifetime live earnings exceed millions with over $700k from live poker earnings.

Veldhuis is also a PokerStars Team Pro veteran and has been an ambassador of the online poker platform since 2009. Veldhuis began his poker streaming journey in 2016 on YouTube and Twitch. He has been regularly uploading and streaming live on YouTube and Twitch. In addition to his nomination this year, Lex Veldhuis received the Best Poker Streamer award in 2019 and in 2020.
