Indian poker pro Nishant Sharma is on fire! Just three days after his victory in Event #14: Pot Limit Omaha at the 2024 Poker Dream 13 Malaysia, the Mumbai pro captured his fourth Poker Dream title in Event #16: Mystery Bounty at Poker Dream 13 Malaysia. For his second victory at the ongoing series, Sharma secured a massive payday of RM 225,000 (~$47,250), and an additional RM16,200 (~$3,402) in bounties. With this victory, Sharma now has more than $1.1 million in live career earnings.

Sharma navigated though a tough field of 395 entries, as well and topped a final table that included Kim Pyeongkang, Wu Pingfeng, Chen Motuan, Lew Ern Hsien, Y.C. Eng, Zou Xintian, Lau Lay Sheen, and eventually defeated 2024 APT Jeju Zodiac winner Peng Chen in the heads-up.

Peng Chen ended up cashing his first recorded Poker Dream earnings of RM 137,406 (~$28,855). The RM 3,000 buy-in Mystery Bounty event ended up crushing the RM1,000,000 (~$210,000) guarantee, taking it to RM 1,184,006 (~$248,641).

The 2024 Poker Dream 13 Malaysia edition is currently underway at Genting Highlands and will conclude on November 24th, 2024. The festival boasts an impressive 56-event schedule and has already crowned over 30 winners.

The crown jewel of the festival is the MYR 5,000,000 (~$1,000,000) Main Event, which progresses to Day 2 on November 23rd, with the final table scheduled for November 24th.

Nishant Sharma, a Poker Dream regular, is a formidable force with a record two Main Event titles in 2024—one from Poker Dream 11 Malaysia and another from Poker Dream 10 Vietnam. Sharma is the only Indian with two poker dream main event victories and is vying for the Poker Dream 13 Malaysia Main Event trophy, and it will be interesting to see if he can recreate the magic and win the event for a third time.
