Australia’s own Nelson Dong emerged victorious in the 2025 Australian Poker Open Main Event, earning A$390,000 and the prestigious APO trophy. This marks Dong’s second major career title, following his earlier win at the APT Phu Quoc Single Day High Roller. With this triumph, Dong has now crossed the $500,000 mark in recorded live earnings on The Hendon Mob.
The A$3,300 No-Limit Hold’em Main Event drew an impressive 690 entries, doubling its guarantee and generating a prize pool of A$2,001,000. The top 86 players cashed, with all five final survivors securing six-figure payouts.
India’s Pawan Bansal, a familiar face on PokerBaazi’s televised events, made a strong showing, finishing fifth for A$105,000. Kahle Burns secured third place for A$173,000, while Domain Morvan fell just short of the title, collecting A$240,000 as the runner-up.

Ravee Sundara Takes Down Texas Poker Open Main Event for $283,143
Houston native Ravee “Sonny” Sundara claimed his first PokerGO Tour (PGT) title by winning the Texas Poker Open $3,300 Main Event. Sundara pocketed a career-best $283,143 and took home the symbolic Texas Poker Open belt buckle trophy.
The event drew 699 entries across eight Day 1 flights, creating a massive $2,097,000 prize pool. The top 88 players made the money, with the final five all earning six-figure payouts. A three-way ICM deal between Sundara, Kaleb Harwell, and Aaron Gao locked up the top prizes before Sundara secured the win.
Kaleb Harwell earned $264,529 for second place, while Aaron Gao rounded out the podium with a $247,328 payday.

Vincent Moscati Earns 10th WSOP Ring at Horseshoe Tunica Main Event
Vincent Moscati made history at the WSOP Circuit stop in Horseshoe Tunica by capturing his 10th career WSOP Circuit gold ring. Moscati becomes the 20th player to reach double digits in Circuit ring wins.

He began the stop by winning Event #15: $400 No-Limit Hold’em, then capped off the series with a victory in the $1,700 Main Event. Moscati bested a field of 371 entries, defeating Michael Esquivel heads-up to claim the $111,454 first-place prize from a $562,065 prize pool. Esquivel earned $74,552 for his runner-up finish.
