The Global Poker Index (GPI) rankings highlight the achievements of poker players across the globe. The GPI rankings for female players in Asia underscore the exceptional talent and competitive spirit of the top female poker professionals in the region.
These players have demonstrated consistent performances in major tournaments, earning them important GPI points along with recognition. This update highlights the increasing prominence of female players in Asia, reflecting their rising influence in the global poker community.
These rankings not only honour individual achievements as well as also inspire a new generation of upcoming female poker enthusiasts to chase excellence in the game.
Leading the GPI Asia Rankings among female players is China’s Shuang Luo. The female pro dominates the ranking with 1,597.93 points. She just recently overtook Natural8’s Kitty Kuo, who was on top in the start of July. She also ranks 22nd on China’s overall GPI rankings, giving her male counterparts a run for their money. She was last seen grinding and cashing at Poker Dream 9 – Malaysia in Resorts World Genting in Malaysia in April 2024. Here she recorded four impressive cashes, which included a final table finish. Shuang Luo finished fourth at the + 9,300 No Limit Hold’em – Mystery Bounty High Roller event for which she took home a paycheque of a hefty $24,453. The Chinese female pro has earned $383,834 in live total earnings.
At the second spot is Natural8 ambassador and one of the top female pros Hui Chen “Kitty” Kuo, who was on top in the start of the month. The Taiwanese player has 1,578.90 GPI points to her credit which also helps her rank 11th on Taiwan’s GPI ranking. Kitty Kuo is currently grinding at the ongoing WSOP 2024, wherein she has recorded one cash, namely her 198th finish at No Limit Hold’em (Bracelet Event #60) for $6,020.
Then is China’s Min Zhang with 1,532.43 GPI points who ranks third on GPI Asia rankings for female poker players and 24th on China’s GPI rankings. She was most recently seen at The Wynn Summer Classic in June 2024. She recorded four cashes in the series, one being an eighth-place finish at $9,901 in a No-Limit Hold’em event.
Coming in fourth is Hua Wei Lin from Taiwan who has 1,430.02 GPI points with a 16th place on Taiwan’s GPI rankings. Her last recorded cash was at the 2024 Aria Poker Classic earlier in July 2024 at the No-Limit Hold’em event finishing 83rd out of 711 for a paycheque of $1,394.
China’s Li Song ranks at the fifth spot. With 1,350.29 GPI points, Li Songs ranks 43rd on China’s GPI rankings. Notably, Li Song was last seen at the U Series of Poker – USOP Da Nang Part 1 in Da Nang, Vietnam in March 2024. Here she shipped the No Limit Hold’em – ALL IN OR FOLD title for a massive sum of $45,300,000.
Talking about Indian females in GPI Asia rankings, WSOP bracelet winner and Natural8 India ambassador Nikita Luther is the only female among the top 50 rankers. The WSOP 2023 Main Event best Indian female finisher currently ranks 49th with 531.34 pts
