Despite taking breaks to focus on her personal life, Mercier has remained a formidable competitor at the tables. Her journey from early successes to WSOPC wins and her recent resurgence, highlights her resilience and passion for the game.

Early Life

Natasha Barbour Mercier was born in Lebanon. While little information is available about her early life, it is known that she began playing poker in the early 2010s and quickly became an influential figure in women’s poker.

Poker Career Highlights and Winnings

Mercier recorded her first live tournament cash in 2009 at the WSOP Circuit New Orleans, where she finished in the money for $658. She continued grinding the poker circuit and, in 2010, won her first WSOP Circuit gold ring by taking down the WSOP Circuit Iowa $345 NLH event for a top prize of $12,444.

Her success continued in 2011 when she secured victory in the WPT Regional Tampa Bay Open $200 NLH, earning $22,701. In 2012, she finished third in the WPT Regional Tampa Bay Open Championship Event, adding another $32,940 to her bankroll. The following year, she won the Ladies Event at the WSOP Circuit Lake Tahoe for $4,351, earning her second WSOP Circuit gold ring.

Mercier came close to winning her first WSOP bracelet in 2015 when she finished runner-up in the 46th WSOP $1,500 NLH event, taking home a six-figure payday of $284,911. The following year, she won the PCA 2016 Women’s Event for $8,340. Later in 2016, she had another deep run at the WSOP, finishing third in Event #59: $5,000 NLH, which resulted in a career-best cash of $348,374.

After 2016, Mercier reduced her tournament volume to focus on her personal life following the birth of her first child. However, she continued to participate in select events, cashing in the annual WSOP from 2017 to 2019. She made her return to the poker scene in 2022, securing a money finish in the WPT World Championship for $20,000.

Her momentum carried into 2023, where she cashed in the WPT Showdown Championship, finishing 18th for $46,200. Later that year, she placed fifth in the 2023 WSOP Paradise $1,400 Closer Event, earning an impressive $35,000.

In 2024, Mercier continued adding to her poker resume, cashing in two major events: the 2024 WSOP Main Event for $37,500 and the Seminole RRPO $5K DeepStack for $11,300.

As of now, Mercier has accumulated $1,447,662 in live tournament earnings from just 93 cashes, placing her among the top 10 on Lebanon’s all-time money list.
