The Asian poker scene will witness a lot of poker action in January 2025. The January action will be highlighted by the 15th edition of Poker Dream. The Poker Dream 15 Malaysia will be held at the luxurious Genting Highlands. It offers a total festive guarantee of MYR 8,000,000 (~$1,797,392) with half of it reserved for the Main Event offering MYR 4,000,000 (~$880,000).
Apart from the Poker Dream 15, there are also other poker tournaments that you can look forward to competing in. Here are the 4 poker tournaments in Asia this January 2025.
1. Manila Megastack 21 – Jan 20 – 27, 2025
The 21st edition of PokerStars Manila Megastack will be held inside the Okada Manila poker room from January 20th to 27th,2025. This eight-day series offers PHP 31,750,000 ($540,386) in guaranteed prize pools. Almost 70% of the guaranteed prize pool is reserved for the PHP 45,000 (~$765) buy-in Main Event, which has a guaranteed prize pool of PHP 20,000,000 ($340,401).
Furthermore, PokerStars will also host small buy-in qualifier tournaments for players to win 2 guaranteed APPT Manila Packages for the upcoming APPT Manila 2025 happening in late July 2025.
2. Taiwan Millions Tournament 17 – Jan 2 – 20, 2025
After the success of the inaugural TMT Championship back in November, the Chinese Texas Hold’em Poker Association didn’t take any long to announce the 17th edition of the popular Taiwan Millions Tournament, which is scheduled to take place from January 2- 20, 2025.
Taiwan Millions Tournament (TMT) 17 will once again be held inside the CPT Asia Poker Arena and it will be headlined by the main event. The poker festival’s crown jewel has a $280 buy-in and a guaranteed prize pool of USD 1,000,000. It will run from January 12, 15 – 20, 2025.
3. Dream Poker Da Nang Opening Series – Jan 3 – 12, 2025
Dream Poker Da Nang will be hosting its Opening Series inside its poker room from January 3rd to 12th, 2025. It offers VND 28 Billion (~$1,166,667) in total guaranteed prize pool, out of which VND 15 Billion is reserved for the highlighted Main Event with VND 15 Billion (~$585,000) Guaranteed. Furthermore, the operators offer early-bird packages and discounts for registering early.
4. International Poker League (IPL) Taipei – Jan 24 – Jan 26, 2025
The 2025 IPL International Poker League, exclusively hosted by WPT Global, brings together Asia’s 13 biggest poker brands, including Taiwan’s North, Central, and South series, alongside Hong Kong, Korea, Japan, Singapore, and Southeast Asia in a strategic alliance. Highlights include the NT$10,000 (~$312) buy-in Main Event with NT 10 million (~$300,000) guaranteed prize pool, a One-Day Hawker Event, the Closing Event, and exceptional trophies for champions. The series will be held inside the Ace8Poker Room from January 24th to 26th.
