He has gained widespread popularity because of his high-stakes cashes and marked his name as one of the best high-stakes poker players in the world. Mikita Badziakouski – From Chess Board to Poker Table

Mikita Badziakouski was born on February 6, 1992. At the age of 5, Badziakouski started learning cheese, and by 10, he started spending hours playing card games. He was so much into card games that he tried sports betting at 12.

He started playing poker after watching the WSOP Main Event, which ignited a passion for poker. He started playing on PokerStars under the screen name “fish2013,” and many people still refer to him by his screen name during live tournaments.

Initially, Badziakouski earned money by playing low-stakes NLHE games online. He soon transitioned to a live poker player.

Unlike many other players, Badziakouski didn’t pursue a traditional career or higher education. 

Mikita Badziakouski Poker Career and Winnings 

Mikita Badziakouski made his first live poker appearance in March 2010, just a month after turning 18. He participated in the $550 buy-in NLHE event, earning $5,610. 

He continued grinding live poker tournaments in Ukraine for the next couple of years, creating a bankroll to try High Roller events. 

Badziakouski participated in his first €25,500 buy-in No Limit Hold’em High Roller at the European Poker Tour. He finished in 28th place, in that event earning €46,400 (~$51,718). 

His first six-figure live cash also came at the European Poker Tour in Monte Carlo. In 2016, He finished in 6th place in the €50,000 Super High Roller, winning €210,530 (~$240,925).

Badziakouski began competing in the Triton High Roller series in 2017, winning three events, two in the same year. In 2018, he took down the HK$1 million buy-in No Limit Hold’em Triton Super High Roller Main Event, earning $2,499,184. That same year, he secured his second-biggest live tournament winnings of $5,257,027. 

In 2023, Badziakouski secured his biggest live tournament score to date by winning the $1 million buy-in NLHE Big One for One Drop event at the WPT World Championship, taking $7,114,500. 

Till now, Badziakouski has won one WSOP gold bracelet. In 2021, he outlasted a field of 113 entries to win the $50,000 No Limit Hold’em High Roller event, taking $1.46 million. He played against some notable poker pros at the final table, including Daniel Negreanu, Jason Koon, Tony Lin, Stephen Chidwick, and many more. 

Year 2024

As per Hendon Mob, Badziakouski has amassed over $55 million in live tournament earnings throughout his 14-year-old live poker career. He recently took over the 5th place in Hendon Mob’s all-time money list.  He is currently competing in tournaments at the ongoing World Series of Poker 2024 and has already cashed two tournaments. Most recently, he finished 8th for $629,407 in the WSOP 2024 $250K Super High Roller event, which was won by India’s Santhosh Suvarna.

Mikita Badziakouski currently sits at a net worth close to $60 million. This mainly comes from his 14-year-old professional poker career. He served as a PartyPoker Ambassador from 2019 to 2022. He isn’t associated with any online poker platforms as a brand ambassador.

Many people have spotted Mikita Badziakouski with the Iranian model and poker player Melika Razai many times. However, by now, the couple has split. Not much is known about Badziakouski’s current relationship, as he rarely commented on it. Badziakouski is very private about his personal life and doesn’t even have a public social media account.
