After rampant hunting on the final table, Adam Thaggard eventually beat Loy Abdo heads-up to claim the winning payout of A$120,678 ($77,811). In addition to this, he also cashed his 18 bounties including the $100,000 top bounty along with a $6,000 WPT Prime Championship Passport.
He started his 2024 season with a final table finish at the Australian Poker Tour – APT Season VII Opener in Brisbane, followed by a title at A$ 255 + 45 No Limit Hold’em – Mini Main Event (Event #8) during the same series. For this win, he pocketed $13,374 in prize money.
After multiple cashes meantime, his next title came in March 2024 when he took down a title at the Rise of the Empire Poker Festival for a modest $1,955. This was followed by another WPT title in April 2024. Adam Thanggard took down the A$ 600 + 75 Pot Limit Omaha (Event #8) at World Poker Tour – WPT Prime Gold Coast in Gold Coast, Australia for $12,281.
He continued his cashing and final tabling streak in April and May 2024. On 1st June 2024, Adam Thaggard claimed another title at A$ 120 No Limit Hold’em – Timed Tournament at 2024 Empire Poker Brisbane Recurring Tournaments, Brendale for a small $748.
