The latest Celebrity Poker Tour (CPT) event that unfolded inside the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas over the weekend crowned a third consecutive woman champion. This time, it was Maria Ho who emerged victorious, beating the single-table field of TikTok stars and poker vloggers to win $10,000 and the golden CPT belt. This marked her first live title of the year, coming hot on the heels of her 12th place finish for $ 2,568 in the $1,100 NLH Turbo at the recent Wynn Millions Poker Series, Las Vegas a few days back.
The poker commentator, winner of Game of Gold and Women in Poker Hall of Famer, Maria was a favorite to win the CPT Game Night I. True to expectations, she topped a competitive field including vloggers Brad Owen, Alexander “Wolfgang” Seibt, and Ethan “Rampage” Yau, along with NFL running back Austin Ekeler and influencers Bryce Hall, Trent “BookitWithTrent” Attyah. Notably, Tommy Unold showcased impressive prowess to secure the runner-up spot, earning $5,000 in the process.
The recent CPT Game Night I at PokerGO Studio showcased a shift from the seasoned pros of the PGT Mixed Games Series to a younger, social media-driven crowd. Among them was 24-year-old Hall, a YouTube and TikTok sensation with millions of followers. Hall and Ethan “Rampage” Yau were the first two eliminations from the final table. Following these eliminations, players enjoyed the open bar and gourmet cuisine while analyzing their gameplay via stream. Notably, Seibt exited in fifth place and he was followed by Brad Owen who exited in fourth place.
In the final stages, Ekeler, recently signed with the Washington Commanders, initially held the chip lead but ultimately lost it out to Ho, a well-known Taiwanese-American poker player. In the heads-up showdown, Ho’s wealth of poker experience prevailed against Unold and she won the title and $10,000 in top prize. Unold walked away with $5,000 as the runner-up finisher.
