Kevin Rabichow Wins WPT Playground High Roller for $152K

Kevin Rabichow overcame a competitive field of 64 entries and outlasted a star-studded final table featuring several bracelet winners to take down the 2024 World Poker Tour Playground Championship $10,500 no-limit hold’em high roller.

The American poker pro walked away with $152,006 USD for his first-ever live tournament victory. With this win, the 2021 World Series of Poker (WOP) $100,000 buy-in runner-up now has close to $4.6 million in live poker tournament earnings.

The top eight finishers were paid out in this event, with Joshua Justin (8th for $16,589) and Dustin Melanson (7th for $20,736) becoming the first two players to finish in the money. Bracelet winner Tommy Nguyen exited in sixth place ,earning $25,344 for his efforts. Other big names on the final table included 2023 WSOP $25,000 heads-up championship winner Chanracy Khun (4th for  $41,472.

Following the elimination of Cooper Bryant (3rd for $61,056), the heads-up began between 2018 partypoker MILLION Grand Final Barcelona main event champion and 2010 WSOP $1,500 no-limit hold’em event winner Pascal LeFrancois and KevinRabichow.  LeFrancois could not go all the way, eventually ending as the runner-up for $111,341. Following his runner-up finish, LeFrancois now has more than $7.1 million in live cashes.

The tournament generated a $459,456 prize pool, which was finally distributed among the top eight finishers. The tournament sported and more than tripled its $200,000 CAD guarantee. Here is a quick look at the tournament payouts.
