Kerala’s Sreekanth Narayan Leads The Pack After Day 2 Of National Poker Champion Showdown

After a spectacular “Night of Glory,” where the NPS 2025 medalists were felicitated by Indian cricketing legend Shikhar Dhawan, the action recently moved to Goa for Pokerbaazi’s National Poker Champion (NPC) Showdown – a five-day live event where top 12 state champions are clashing for ₹1 Crore and the prestigious National Poker Champion title.

Kerala’s Sreekanth Narayan Leads The Way With Two Wins

Kerala’s Sreekanth Narayan stole the show on Day 2 of the National Poker Champion Showdown, becoming the first player to win back-to-back matches. After winning Match 1 on the first day, he went back-to-back, successfully navigating bounty format and winning Match 3 after a heads-up with Maharashtra’s Zarvan Tumboli on Day 2 of the showdown.

Narayan collected a massive 110 points in Match 3 (80 for the win + 30 in bounty), taking his total tally to 220 points, and moving to the top of the leaderboard after Day 2 of the showdown. With 220 points, he is now the frontrunner to qualify for the Grand Finale scheduled on April 17.

Tumboli, despite losing with J-7 to Narayan’s K-4 on a King-high board in the heads-up battle, earned a valuable 60 points and reached 110 points overall, keeping him in strong contention for the Grand Finale 17th April.

Ankit Wadhawan Takes 2nd Spot On Leaderboard With Match 4 Win

Day 2 continued with Match 4, where the remaining six champions joined in the action for another thrilling bounty clash. Chandigarh’s ace player Ankit Wadhawan, who finished runner-up in Match 1 on Day 1, finally captured his win in the final Match of the night. After beating Gujarat’s Mohit Bohra in a short but intense heads-up, he claimed 125 points (80 for the win + 45 bounty), taking his total tally to 205 points, putting him in second place on the leaderboard and almost guaranteeing himself a seat in the Grand Finale.
