While the World Series of Poker (WSOP) continues to dominate the live action, we saw several other prestigious events delivering high-octane action, including MSPT and the inaugural PokerStars Open Namur. One of the key highlights of the MSPT was its main event, which found its winner in Josh Reichard. Meanwhile, Jean-Vincent Lehut emerged victorious in the first-ever  PokerStars Open Namur Main Event. Here is a quick recap of the recent victories!

Josh Reichard Wins Inaugural MSPT Heart Poker Championship

The 16-time WSOP ring winner Josh Reichard topped a large field of 1,051 entries to take down the inaugural MSPT The Tour Heart Poker Championship at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas, taking home $212,939. This was the second MSPT title for the Wisconsin native, having won his first back in 2013.

Reichard now has more than $5 million in live tournament earnings, with $811,000 coming from his success on this tour alone. Notably, this marks his third major live title of 2025, as he has already won WSOPC $ 400 Limit H.O.R.S.E. for over $10k  in March and $ 10,000 No Limit Hold’em – Deep Stack at WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown for $288,400 in April.

2025 MSPT $1,600 Heart Poker Championship Quick Recap

The MSPT $1,600 Heart Poker Championship  drew 1,051 entries over three flights, collecting $1.5 million in prize pool, which was finally shared by the top 118 players. Some notables to cash on Day 2 of the event were Frank Lagodich (50th), Joe Kuether (24th), Javier Zarco (18th), Brian Hastings (13th), and Caleb Rife (10th). After 11 hours of intense battle, only seven players remained for the final day, with Reichard in the middle of the pack.

The first elimination of the final day came when Brian Luo scored the first knockout by eliminating WSOP bracelet winner Antonio Galiana in seventh place. He was followed by Hugo Girard falling in sixth place.

Luo scored another knockout by sending Artem Metalidi to the rail in fifth place. Later, two-time WSOP ring winner Jessica Vierling eliminated Min Sung Lee in fourth. Meanwhile, Reichard scored a timely double and was in the lead with three players remaining for the title.

Reichard continued his ascent and busted the former chip leader Luo in third place, taking a 6.5:1 chip advantage in heads-up against Jessica Vierling. The heads-up did not last long with Vierling losing it with Q♣J♠ against the K♥9♣ of Reichard on the 3h Ks 8h 7h 10s runout. Reichard flopped a king and held from there to send 2024 WSOP Circuit Commerce main event winner to the rail in second place for $159,480.
