Jio Cinema, the official digital streaming partner of the Indian Premier League (IPL), has officially announced a partnership with India’s popular online poker platform, PokerBaazi. Yes, the online poker platform has now become the official partner of Viacom18’s JioCinema for the IPL 2024.
The announcement was made public through a post on Viacom18 Sport’s Official LinkedIn handle, unveiling PokerBaazi as an associate sponsor for the ongoing Tata IPL 2024. The statement read, “India’s biggest T20 festival becomes even bigger on JioCinema. Joining us in this journey of revolutionizing the way India watches sports is our associate sponsor, Baazi Games, on JioCinema’s coverage of Tata IPL.”
This landmark collaboration comes after JioCinema’s recent announcement in March, where the brand revealed 18 digital sponsors for its Tata IPL 2024 coverage, including Dream11, Tata Motors, CRED, AMFI, and others. PokerBaazi is joining this list as an associate sponsor.
JioCinema had previously announced another six associate partners, which included SBI Bank, HDFC PayZapp, Dalmia Cement, Britannia, Parle Hide & Seek, and Thums Up.
Apart from his landmark collaboration, PokerBaazi has made headlines for partnering with PokerGo, the official digital streaming platform for WSOP 2024. Through this partnership, Indian poker enthusiasts will be able to watch exclusive Global Poker content in the local language. PokerBaazi aims to raise awareness about the game and make it more accessible to Indian masses.
PokerBaazi recently started a new ad campaign starring the Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor, which will be streamed during the Tata IPL 2024. This partnership with JioCinema seeks to enhance the overall viewing experience of cricket enthusiasts by incorporating elements like skill, strategy and excitement, which are synonymous with the thrilling game of online poker.
