Jerome Crantz claimed the Winamax SISMIX 2025 Main Event title in Marrakech, while Qing Liu took down the $600 No-Limit Hold’em event at the Wynn Summer Classic in Las Vegas.

Crantz battled through a record-breaking 3,390-entry field to win €163,122 and his first major trophy, while Liu topped a 1,516-entry field for $107,297. These wins mark significant milestones for both players and dramatically kick off the summer poker season. Here is a quick recap of their victories at the Winamax SISMIX 2025 and the Wynn Summer Classic.

Jerome Crantz Crowned Winamax SISMIX 2025 Champion

Jerome Crantz, a professional industrial designer and recreational poker player, outlasted a record-breaking field to emerge victorious in the Winamax SISMIX 2025 Main Event, securing a life-changing €163,122 payday and the prestigious Winamax trophy.

The 44-year-old Crantz had only one recorded cash on his Hendon Mob profile worth $960. With this massive win, he now pushes his lifetime poker earnings past $160,000.

Held at the Es Saadi Resort in Marrakech, the Winamax SISMIX 2025 Main Event drew a record-setting 3,390 entries at a €530 buy-in, generating an enormous €1,492,436 prize pool. This turnout once again cements Winamax SISMIX as one of the largest 6-Max tournaments in the world.

The €1.5 million prize pool was distributed among the top 112 players, with both the champion and runner-up earning six-figure payouts. Spain’s Daruo Alonso finished in third place, taking home €86,360 and setting up the final heads-up battle.

Heads-Up Showdown

Crantz entered heads-up play with a slight chip disadvantage against fellow countryman Jean-Côme Haye. The duel lasted over an hour, during which Crantz gradually reversed the chip counts and reduced Jean to the short stack.

In the final hand, Jean shoved his stack with nine-seven of diamonds, and Crantz made the call with ace-nine. The board ran out Q♦-J♣-3♣-8♥-Q♠, offering no help to Jean.

Jean-Côme Haye finished as the runner-up, earning €115,145, while Crantz took home the Winamax SISMIX trophy and €163,122 in prize money.
