Women continue to shine in live poker events across the world. Currently in the spotlight is none other than the ACR Ambassador Katie Lindsay, who achieved a new-career best $102,915 after winning the 2024 Moneymaker Tour Aruba $1,500 no-limit hold’em main event on Sunday.
The $1,500 buy-in Main Event drew an impressive entries 325, more than doubling the $200K guarantee to create a prize pool of $438,750. The lion’s share of the prize pool went to Katie Lindsay, who eventually faced Duff Charette in the heads-up for the title. The latter could not close it out but walked away with a decent payout of $63,260 for her remarkable performance in the tournament.
This latest victory marked her career’s fourth live title, pushing her live tournament earnings to $1,166,138. Also, this was her first six-figure score with her previous best result coming in 2022 in a $10K Wynn Millions event where she finished 26th for $ 62,857. Notably, this happens to be her second title in the Caribbean, following a $50K win aboard a Royal Caribbean poker cruise in 2015.
Prior to this victory in the Caribbean, Lindsay’s largest payday for a first-place finish was the $50,145, which she earned for winning a $600 buy-in event at the 2018 Venetian DeepStack Extravaganza IV.
The latest win means a lot to both Lindsay and her husband. Lindsay’s husband, a WPT champion and two-time bracelet winner Chris Moorman, took to social media to share his excitement about her wife’s latest victory.
