December is almost here and poker players are in for a treat. It surely has several big poker tournaments, with massive guarantees. From the WSOP Paradise to WPT World Championship, there are several poker events to look forward to. Here is the list of the 5 poker tournament series in December 2024.
1 – 2024 WSOP Paradise – December 6 – December 19, 2024
The World Series of Poker is all set to host the biggest-ever poker tournaments, at the Atlantis Resort in The Bahamas, WSOP Paradise 2024. A total of 15 gold bracelets are up for grabs, along with a staggering $68.5 million in festive guarantee. It will begin on December 6, inside the luxurious Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas.
The festival’s crown jewel is the $25,000 Super Main Event, which offers a gigantic $50 million guarantee. The festival also features several online events, including the $5 million GTD Mystery Millions Online on GGPoker.
2 – WPT World Championship – December 3 – December 23, 2024
The World Poker Tour is returning to Wynn Las Vegas for the third consecutive year to end the calendar with the prestigious 2024 WPT World Championship. It offers over 60 tournaments and the biggest-ever Freeroll of $5 million GTD from Club WPT Gold. The previous festival paid out over $110 million in prize pool, and WPT is hoping for a similar response this time as well.
Players can look forward to competing in the WPT Prime Championship, offering $5 million GTD. This year’s festival doesn’t offer any guarantee on the Main Event, compared to the previous which featured a $40 million GTD for the Main Event. Daniel Sepiol claimed the previous year’s WPT World Championship Main Event and took home the lion’s share of $5,282,954.
3 – U Series of Poker USOP Grand Finale – November 29 – December 11, 2024
The popular Asian poker operator, U Series of Poker, is all set to end 2024 with its U Series of Poker USOP Grand Finale. The event kicked off on November 29 and will conclude on November 29 inside the Pullman Grand Hotel, offering a staggering VND 100 billion (~$4,000,000), which is the highest prize pool in Vietnam tournaments. From the VND 100 billion, VND 40 billion (~$1,600,000) is reserved for the Main Event.
4 – 2024 PokerStars EPT Prague – December 4 – December 15, 2024
The European Poker Tour Prague is going to be the last stop of PokerStars EPT before heading to 2025. The 11-day festival offers tournaments for every bankroll. While it doesn’t offer any guarantee, it will surely generate over seven figures in the prize pool. Some of the key highlights of the festival are the Eureka Main Event, EPT Main Event, and the €50,000 EPT Super High Roller.
Padraig O’Neill won the 2023 EPT Prague Main Event, earning a staggering €1,030,000 from the €6,101,300 prize pool.
5 – DeepStack Extravaganza IV
The Venetian Resort is currently hosting a month-long poker festival, DeepStack Extravaganza IV, offering a $2.5 million prize pool. A key highlight of the festival is the affordable buy-ins, making it accessible for beginners and amateurs. The festival will feature the $1,100 MSPT Main Event, running from December 1–4, with a $300k guarantee. It will also host the $1,100 NLH UltimateStack with a $500k guarantee taking place from December 16–19.
