GGPoker is making big and bold strides to expand its global presence. Following its historic $500 million acquisition of the World Series of Poker (WSOP), the world’s largest poker platform has now partnered with Lebanese poker operator PokerArabia. This landmark partnership aims to integrate PokerArabia’s players into GGPoker’s vast global player base. This is being viewed as a game-changing move, marking a big milestone in GGPoker’s commitment to open up online poker markets worldwide and strengthen its presence.

What This Partnership Means for Players In Lebanon

PokerArabia is the Middle East’s only government-licensed poker room in Lebanon. It is operated by Onlive Support Services under a license from a live gaming venue Casino Du Liban, which got its license from the Lebanese government in 1957 and started its online gaming platform, BetArabia, in November 2022. Starting September 1, 2024, PokerArabia’s players will migrate to the GGPoker’s platform. This move will grant Lebanese players access to GGPoker’s extensive tournament offerings, including the opportunity to compete in the remaining bracelet events of the ongoing 2024 WSOP Online.

Beyond the enhanced features and numerous benefits of GGPoker’s platform, this partnership also opens doors to online qualifications and participation in WSOP events. Discussions about hosting live WSOP events in the Middle East are also reported to be underway, signaling the possibility of live WSOP events in the near future.

Sharing his excitement, Sarne Lightman, Managing Director of GGPoker, said, “We are incredibly excited to welcome PokerArabia players to the GGPoker family. This partnership with Casino Du Liban underscores our commitment to bringing global liquidity and the best online poker experience to players worldwide. Lebanese players can now look forward to joining the world’s biggest poker community and competing in the best games and biggest tournaments available anywhere.”

Talking about this landmark partnership, Onlive Support Services Chairman and CEO Jad Gharios said, “We look forward to the online launch, offering WSOP Online to the region, and hosting a live WSOP event at the historically-acclaimed Casino Du Liban in the near future.”

This is a ground-breaking collaboration in the world of poker, which further highlights GGPoker’s unwavering commitment to innovation, excellence, and global outreach in the online poker industry.
