At the end of March 2026, Resorts World dealt its last hand of poker. The room had opened with the property in June 2021 and hosted the PokerStars North American Poker Tour, yet it lasted less than five years. Planet Hollywood had already closed its own room at the end of January. Two closures in one quarter left the Strip with eight card rooms, and Las Vegas as a whole with 18, according to a PokerNews count in March 2026.
That number shrinks a list that once seemed endless. The Strat, Harrah’s, the Mirage and Luxor all used to spread games and no longer do. What remains is concentrated, and the rooms below are the ones a visiting player is most likely to find busy at any hour. Details on hours and tables are as of mid-2026 and change often, so call ahead or check the room’s own feed before you drive across town.

The big three on the Strip
The Venetian moved its poker room on August 1, 2024, from the casino floor to Level 2 of the Grand Canal Shoppes on the Palazzo side. The new space covers about 14,000 square feet and was built for up to 50 tables, which makes it the biggest room on the Strip. On a normal night it runs dozens of cash games. During the DeepStack Extravaganza series, which returns several times a year, the whole floor fills with tournament tables, and its main events have carried $1 million guarantees.
Bellagio has 37 tables and is open 24 hours a day. Its high-limit section is the most famous room in poker. For years it was called Bobby’s Room, after Bobby Baldwin, the 1978 WSOP Main Event champion who went on to run casinos for Steve Wynn and MGM. In 2020, after Baldwin left MGM, the room was renamed the Legends Room. The games inside usually start at limits of $400-$800 in mixed formats and go far higher when the World Series is in town.
Aria, also an MGM property, runs 24 tables. It sits next to the PokerGO Studio, which opened in May 2018 and has hosted the Super High Roller Bowl, the Poker Masters and the U.S. Poker Open. That neighbor gives Aria a steady flow of high-stakes regulars, and local pros make the bigger no-limit games tougher than the elegant room suggests.
Wynn and the summer series
Wynn’s poker room is actually in Encore. It sits next to the players club, in an 8,600-square-foot space with 28 tables. Its daily tournaments have a reputation among local players as some of the best value in town, and the cash games cap buy-ins high enough for deep-stacked play.
Each summer Wynn runs its own festival alongside the WSOP. The 2026 Wynn Summer Classic ran from May 20 to July 13 and listed a $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em event with a $10 million guarantee. If you visit in June, you will find the room overflowing onto the casino floor, with extra tables set up for the tournaments.
Caesars Entertainment rooms: Horseshoe and Caesars Palace
Horseshoe Las Vegas, the former Bally’s, shares the World Series of Poker with its neighbor Paris. The 2026 WSOP ran from May 26 to July 15 across the two properties, and its Main Event drew 9,208 entries before Lucas Jumalon won the title. The Horseshoe’s own room sits in a quieter corner away from the main floor. It is open around the clock, deals $1/$3 No-Limit Hold’em and $4/$8 fixed-limit, and runs several small tournaments a day.
Caesars Palace closed its room in 2024 to make space for a high-limit slot area and reopened it on May 16, 2025, in the Appian Way retail corridor near the statue of David. It reopened with 16 tables and plans to add more in an adjoining space. When it came back, it also cut the rake on its $2/$5 game and raised the maximum buy-ins.
MGM Grand rounds out the Strip list for most visitors with 17 tables, 24-hour service and three daily tournaments. Mandalay Bay still deals too, but on reduced hours and with the room closed on Tuesdays.
Off the Strip, where the locals play
The Orleans, a Boyd Gaming property a short drive west of the Strip, has 35 tables and spreads the widest mix of games in the valley: Hold’em, Omaha Hi-Lo and Seven Card Stud among them. Its Orleans Open series runs during the WSOP and offers lower buy-ins with large guarantees, which pulls in players who want volume more than prestige.
South Point, at the southern end of Las Vegas Boulevard, has 30 tables and stays open 24 hours. It caters to a loyal local crowd with $4/$8 and $8/$16 limit Hold’em, Omaha Eight-or-Better at the same limits, and small no-limit games from $1/$2 upward. Four tournaments run each day.
These rooms are where many players who live in Vegas spend their week, and the games are a good place to test whether a living at live poker is sustainable.
Downtown’s last room
Fremont Street has one poker room left, at the Golden Nugget.
In July 2026 the casino moved it from its old spot near the high-limit slots to a new space near the Chart House restaurant and the Rush Tower lobby, closer to the self-parking garage and rideshare pickup. Players were seated from July 6, and the grand opening followed on July 28. The new room seats up to 63 players at tables with built-in charging, and it reopened with daily tournaments and a $100,000 Bad Beat Jackpot. The old poker space became a high-limit slot salon.
