The popular crypto poker site, CoinPoker has signed British former boxer and four-time world champion Carl Froch to its star-studded Ambassador roster.
Regarded as one of the fastest-growing crypto poker sites, CoinPoker has achieved numerous accomplishments this year, such as becoming the new regional of the Football World Champion Argentina.
The boxer turned-poker pro is now part of CoinPoker’s star-studded ambassador roster, which includes both poker stars and athletes. The CoinPoker Ambassador roster includes poker veteran Tony G, former Austrian footballer, turned poker pro Mario Mosböck, bracelet winner Patrick Leonard, and PokerCoaching founder Jonathan Little, who joined forced with the site recently.
In collaboration with ambassadors, CoinPoker is offering various promotional events and giveaways. One promotional event is the $2,000 freerolls every Monday for users signing up through Jonathan Little’s link.
On August 21, Carl Froch announced on social media that he became an ambassador of CoinPoker, revealing his table name “COBRAFROCH.”
Monthly Freerolls For CoinPoker Users
In that video, Froch hinted at his presence in CoinPoker’s cash games, as well as some freerolls allowing players to knock him out at the poker table, which no one did in the boxing ring.
The poker site will run special promotional tournaments with Froch, including a monthly freerolls tournament called “Froch on Fighting Freerolls.” Furthermore, the player eliminating Froch will get an extra bounty.
In addition to the freerolls, poker enthusiasts can also see Froch’s poker session live for free on CoinPoker’s official YouTube channel.
From Being a Boxing Pro to Playing Poker
Carl Froch, also known as the “Cobra” in the boxing ring, has a formidable career in boxing, making him one of the best middleweight boxers of all time.
He holds several boxing titles as well as 4 middleweight World Championship. Out of 35 career fights, Froch has won 33, and 24 fights by knockouts.
In 2014, Froch defeated George Groves in front of a record-breaking 80,000 people at Wembley. That same year, Froch retired from boxing, putting an end to his boxing career, and kicking off his poker career.
Poker has always been a go-to game among boxers, as it helps their game as well as helping them mentally and psychologically. Froch even replied to a fan, saying “Poker is probably harder mentally.”
In 2012, Froch represented 888Poker and made his first live poker appearance in 2015 in a televised poker cash game at the Dusk Till Dawn Poker Club.
Later that year, he became an ambassador for Partypoker, playing in some of their live and online poker tournaments.
