PokerStars is set to revolutionize women’s poker with the Women’s Winter Festival (WWF). The exclusive female-only festival kicks off today (November 21) at the Hippodrome Casino, featuring some of the most prominent female players, all vying to etch their name in poker history.
Creating women-focused events with amazing structures and enticing prizes is a great way to encourage more women in poker and PokerStars is doing a wonderful job in this direction.
In June, PokerStars announced the signing of Kerryjane Craigie and the launch of the inaugural Women’s Winter Festival, including its first-ever Women’s High Roller. Beyond the high roller, the festival will host several tournaments, offering unprecedented guarantees for female players. Running from November 21st to November 24th, the festival features six tournaments. You can check out the complete schedule HERE!
The festival begins today with the £1,100 buy-in Women’s High Roller and Day 1A of the £400 buy-in £100K GTD Main Event. Additionally, the festival offers a BootCamp for new players, providing them with the opportunity to enhance their skills under the guidance of top female pros.
Players can also participate in the £40 buy-in satellite for the Main Event, where the top five finishers will earn a seat into the Main Event without paying the £400 buy-in. There are multiple ways to join the Main Event, including live satellites and online qualifiers.
The festival concludes on Sunday with the £220 buy-in 50/50 Event, open to male-female pairs. The final day also features a £220 NLHE Event and the Women’s Closer Freeroll, where the winner will receive a package to EPT Prague.
Female Players to Watch at the Women’s Winter Festival
The festival will feature notable players, including Rania Nasreddine, a breakout star from the 2024 European Poker Festival. Nasreddine had deep runs at EPT Barcelona and EPT Monte Carlo, finishing 4th and 3rd, respectively, and cashing for over $1 million. With $1.7 million in live career earnings, Nasreddine aims to claim her first PokerStars title at the WWF.
Other high-profile participants include PokerStars ambassador and chess pro ennifer Shahade, alongside GJ Reggie, Marle Spragg, Caitlin Comeskey, Kyna England, and Vanessa Kade. Nikki Limo and Alex Loveless are expected to be in attendance.
